Biotechnology is important for many reasons, and there are many different uses
medical, and industrial. Agricultural uses of biotechnology mainly deal with DNA and in
changing the DNA to increase the activity of plants and help out crops and livestock.
When talking about industrial uses of biotechnology we can see that this helps products
increase, like paper, biofuels, pulp,etc.. Medical uses of biotechnology are important in
helping people prevent human diseases and we can see that every time we get a
vaccine to help fight off those diseases. Biotechnology is all around us, however it is
The type of biotechnology that interests me the most is the medical uses of
because if not, we all might be dead. Biotech researchers conduct studies on all sorts of
diseases and conduct experiments in order to find a way to fight the disease off. To sum
up how medical biotechnology works, I found a direct quote from the article “Types of
biotechnology” and it states; “In Simple words, Medical Biotechnology is the study of
microorganisms like bacteria, plants and animals. It also helps in studying enzymes
which is imminent in industrial and manufacturing sectors and processes which help in
producing foodstuffs, important drugs used for making medicines and synthetic

whether it's for peoples medical benefit, producers benefits, or in agriculture benefits
such as nature benefits. I think this can also be turned around into saying that
problem when we talk about industrial biotechnology and in producing large amounts of
