DISCRETE MANU. ------- If the manufactured Finished good Item can be

dis-mantled --------- Oracle Discrete Manufacturing (ODM)

PROCESS MANU. ------- If once the Finished good is produced, it cannot

be dismantled

ORACLE DISCRETE MANUFACTURING ( ODM ) :

There are 2 cycles in ODM -------- Make to Stock or Order to Stock

MAKE TO STOCK :

1. Planned Order --------- Prepared by the Planning

department .

Planned Order is created

for Forecasted Demand.

Planned Order is
prepared in Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning Module for the MAKE item.

2. Create Work Order --------- Work Order for the Make

Item is created in the Plant

3. Release Work Order

4. Create WIP Issue Transactions ---------- Transfer the Raw

materials from Inventory to Shop Floor ( Production Plant )

5. Create Move Transactions ---------- Moving semi-Finished

Good quantity from 1 Operation to other operations

6. Create Completion Transactions --------- After all the operations

are performed and the FG is produced , it is transferred from Shop FLoor to
Inventory.

On hand will be
available in the Inventory after the Completion Transactions.

7. Create Sales Order ---------- SO is created , once the

actual demand from the customer is received.

8. Pick and Ship ---------- Picking and Shipping of

the FG item to the Customer

ORDER TO STOCK :

1. Create Sales Order ---------- create the SO after

getting requirement from the customer.

2. Create Work Order ---------- Against the SO . a WO is

created in the Plant.

3. Release Work Order

4. Create WIP Issue Transactions ---------- Transfer the Raw

materials from Inventory to Shop Floor ( Production Plant )

5. Create Move Transactions ---------- Moving semi-Finished
