bernyanyi solo lalu di satukan oleh juri dan mereka mendapat
juara 3 pada audisi tersebut. Mereka pun menandatangani
kontrak rekaman dengan label Simon Cowell, Syco Record

Boy mengupload lagu demo dari Zayn berjudul di I Won’t Mind
di soundcloud. Menandatangani kontrak dengan RCA Records
pada Juli 2015, kekasih Gigi Hadid ini merilis single pertamanya
Pillowtalk pada Januari 2016, dan sukses di Billboard Hot 100
Amerika Serikat serta tangga lagu Inggris. Kemudian Album
perdananya Mind of Mine dirilis pada bulan Maret 2016 dan
sukses menduduki #1 di chart album lebih dari 10 negara. Di
tahun yang sama ia mendapat penghargaan American Music
Awards sebagai New Artist of the Year. Di akhir tahun 2016 Zayn
berkolaborasi dengan Taylor Swift dalam sebuah lagu berjudul I
Don’t Wanna Live Forever yang dinobatkan sebagai soundtrack
film Fifty Shades Darker. Dan sekarang zayn sedang merilis
almum keduanya yang berjudul ‘Icarus falls’.
