1.0. Abstract:
Sustainability is a designing phase or a system that uses the energy and natural resources
sustainably, so it’s basically a building that does no harm to the environment.

Sustainability can be shown in building that are called green homes which are called this way
because they help keep the environment clean and also help with the energy consumption by
reducing the total energy consumed, these types of constructions are being used nowadays
because of their low cost and can fit the need of any person.

For this report the group is going to mainly study and find out what is sustainability and what
sustainable development in civil engineering is by researching sources that can be either
primary or secondary and putting all the sources found in the literature review part in the
report. The next step the group will select a green building that is located locally (if found)
and study all the sustainability elements that the building provide and try to find any other
elements about the green homes that are related to the report.
