Assignment Title: End of Unit: Theme in Society

Student Writing Goal: My renewed writing goal is to turn in a well put together writing assignments. I will strive for an
A paper. I know that I am very much capable of getting an A. An A in any major letter grade for any writing assignment
that will contribute to my long-term academic goal.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.
3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The main dilemma of this essay was to compare and contrast real life events that relates to the corruption
seen in Macbeth. I used three real life events that revolve around government corruption, sports, and general
media corruption. I then provided details about all three and how they all related to Macbeths dilemma. I then
stated the moral of the story and the lessons one might learn after reading the paper I have written.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I personally think I had great overall grade. I had great elaboration skills as I provided great amount of detail
and I made sure that the reader would be able to understand my writing. My language and vocabulary was not
your traditional every day vocabulary. I made sure that I used powerful words that made the reading more
exaggerating then normal. My organization was superb and I had great transitional sentence structures.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
My explanation via the topic was probably the area that I performed well in. I made sure that the reader was
able to understand and visualize what I was talking about. The way I did this was to elaborate in certain
moments of my writing with easy to understand sentence structures and exaggerated vocabulary.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I simply didn’t have enough time. I still feel like I didn’t have to revise my paper, but I can be wrong. I feel
like this was one of my few essays that performed well in hence no editing was required. I feel like I did well
and I might be cocky for this but I am more than confident about my work. The biggest reason I didn’t edit is
simply because I didn’t turn my essay in on time.
What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I need to get better at timing. I take too much time trying to perfect my paper and I take too much time on
elaborating. If there were more time provided for a large assignment provided for this class, I would perform
tremendously. Time is my biggest enemy

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I failed to reach my goal because I didn’t turn in my assignment in on time. The late deducted my paper down
to a high C, which is extraordinarily far from my goal. I know for a fact that if I were to turn in my
assignment in on time, I would get the grade I wanted and the grade I know have always strived for,
