Be Kind to Animals Week is May 5-11, and we want to
see your posters! Be Kind to Animals Week was
started by the American Humane Association and has
been celebrated in the United States since 1915.

PET IDOL CONTEST ShoW


The Humane Society of Kodiak 2019 Pet Idol Photo
Contest will start accepting submissions on May

1st. Deadline is July 31.
We invite all Kodiak residents to share their best
shots of their prized animal companions, be it cat or
dog, guinea pig or goat, parrot or pony! You may
submit up to 5 photos per pet. As this is a Spring Is Here!
Get Fit with Fido
fundraiser, we request a donation of $5.00 per
photo. This year the winning pet will not only be the
featured pet in the 2020 calendar, but will also win a
3 month subscription to Meow Box, Bark Box, or

opportunity to exercise and have fun away
The public then gets to make the call on who will be from the shelter. It’s a great way for
the next Pet Idol, with voting kicking off August people and dogs to get in shape and make

We carry a wide variety of Dexil leashes, collars,
and harnesses to help you take the first step in
responsible pet ownership and help ensure dogs
are given the space and support they need when
out for a walk. Dexil leashes, collars, and
harnesses use a simple traffic light color-coded
system that help can stop accidents and incidents
