A) REGISTRATION

All students of PhD and Master by research may register anytime from 11 March 2019 until October 2019.

E) TUITION FEES

You are expected to pay your tuition fees within two weeks after registering for classes. Tuition fees will range from RM8, 000
– RM10, 000 per semester depending on your academic programme. Actual amount you are required to pay will be indicated
on your semester’s time table or invoice issued by UNITEN.

F) INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAMME (IEP) (only for International Applicant)


The following is the information regarding the Intensive English Programme (IEP) offered by UNITEN for
Diploma/Bachelor/Postgraduate students who do not fulfill the English language proficiency requirements.

Please be informed that you are required to have the following minimum English language proficiency scores:

Only students with the English proficiency score stated below will be able to enroll at UNITEN.

Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Accounting and Finance Programmes

Intensive English Programme (IEP) for Diploma, Degree & Postgraduate Students

The Intensive English Programme (IEP) is a language proficiency course designed for international students who have not met
the English language requirements set by UNITEN.

Intake for the IEP is done three (3) times a year, namely in January, May and September. The ten (10) week course is designed
to prepare students for the IELTS examination. Students will be registered for 6 different subjects; Grammar, Vocabulary,
Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading. On the 11th week, students will sit for an official IELTS examination. An IEP repeat
module is also offered for students who do not obtain the required IELTS scores.

I) VISA AND ARRIVAL *Only applicable for International Applicants

i) Student Pass (Visa) Requirements for New Students


Your admission into this university is only valid once your student pass is approved by Malaysian Immigration Department. You
are only allowed to travel if your student pass is approved. Once you have received your original Visa Approval Letter(VAL),
kindly proceed to the nearest Malaysian Embassy to obtain a “Single Entry Visa” before travelling to Malaysia.

If your student pass approved and you have decided not register in this university, a penalty of RM1, 500.00 will be imposed
when requesting release letter.

ii) Arrival

You are required to inform us of your arrival at least two weeks in advance for our staff to welcome and assist you at the
airport. Please be informed that you will not be cleared at the immigration checkpoint without the presence of university’s
representative. Kindly contact our staff for making an appointment by emailing to this address: – iopickup@uniten.edu.my

Please complete the attached International Arrival Form and submit a copy of your flight ticket. Make sure that you receive a
notification from us prior to your departure.

You are expected to arrive in Malaysia two (2) weeks before the registration date. However, you are required to find your
own accommodations during you stay here before registration day. You are encouraged to arrive on week days.

J) DRESS CODE ON THE REGISTRATION DAY

Male Formal attire


(Long sleeved shirt, long pants (No Jeans), tie and shoes)
Female Modest and appropriate formal attire
Note: You must adhere the dress code as specified during the registration, failure to comply, the university has the
right not to allow you to register.

K) DISCLAIMER

The University reserves the right to change curricular, policies, regulations, fees and other requirements, of whatever kind,
affecting students without prior notice. The provisions of this offer letter do not constitute a contract, express or implied,
between any applicant and Universiti Tenaga Nasional.

The university also reserves the right to withdraw / terminate the offer, if it is proven, or if the University has reasonable belief,
that the information provided is false or if at a later stage found that the applicant have submitted a fraudulent application to
the University.

All provisions stated in the offer letter including the fees, are only applicable for the stipulated registration date. If, the students
were to delay registration, or in any reasons, then new provisions and fees may be applicable on that new particular intake.

For sponsored students, kindly take note that you are required to pay the differences in fees where necessary, when your
sponsor does not cover such fees under your contract with the sponsor.
