Answer the questions with a partner.

Application Evaluation Choose one of the 5 people from the listening exercise. Imagine the T-SS 15’
A2 type of person they are, the things they like, the job they have, and
their reasons for doing their job. Then, write a Social Media (facebook,
twitter, linkedin) “About me” section for this person. Be creative!

Find a partner. On your phone, watch the video, “Why do people SS- 5’

your partner, list all the reasons mentioned in the video. Then, rank
them in order of the most important/ most noble reasons. Write your
top two on a piece of paper with an explanation of why you chose 3’

Once everyone’s paper is up, SS walk around the room to read what SS-
others have written. Then, get back with their partner. SS

partner, create a timeline of the different eras of work, with a few short 10’
notes on each. Which era would you prefer to have lived in? Why?

Which was the most just? The least? Discuss with your partner. Again,

around and read everyone’s ideas.

Now, T breaks pairs up and creates all new groups of 5. Give one
person in each group a ball—only the person with the ball can speak.
Groups have 15 minutes to discuss what they wrote on their papers for
the two previous tasks, and try to arrive at a group consensus. This 15’
should involve a good bit of debate, language of opinions, and language
of persuasion.
