Task 1 – Ahmad’s homework

The bar chart illustrates the proportion and time spent in daily activities for
women throughout a normal working week.
Overall, the most significant variable was seen to be that women spent about
one-third (7 hours) of the daily 24 hours cycle in paid employment. With
regards to the remaining portion of time spent in other activities, one third (8
hours) was spent in sleeping and domestic chores 5 hours and 2 hours was spent
respectively in leisure time and mealtimes.
In conclusion, in can be seen clearly that women spend more time sleeping and
working outside of the home than in activities based in the home. Perhaps this is
a reflection of the massive change in society where women have left the
traditionally assigned housewife duties and are striving for equality in the
workplace with men.
