Password policy
In order to be compliant with the data security standard, a password policy has been introduced in Oracle e-
Business Suite.

The policy implies the following:

1) Password is case sensitive.
2) Password must be minimum 8 characters length.
3) Password must contain at least one letter and at least one number.
4) Password must not contain the username.
5) Password must not contain repeating characters.
6) Password expires every 3 months.
7) Passwords used last 3 times cannot be reused.
8) the maximum number of log in attempts before the user's account is disabled are 3.

In case you username is locked due to point 8, please refer to following paragraph.

How to reset a password for a locked username

In the login windows click on Login Assistance.

In the Forgot Password frame enter your user name and click the Forgot Password button.

The system prompts a message to confirm your password has been reset and an email will be sent to complete
the procedure.

Once you receive the email click on the link Reset your password present in the email itself.

You will be redirect to the link where you can choose your new password.
Choose your password, confirm it and click on Confirm Password button.
