Introduction
Firstly thank you for your interest in Noel Music Management. This guide has been created to
give you an overview of our services and the application process as a whole.
What do we offer ?
We support artists in all areas of their career, the key areas we provide support are;
Online Promotion
We are technology savvy here at NMM providing advice and support in areas such as social
media management, website design, search engine optimisation, traffic monitoring, social
media campaigns and mailing list management.
Concert Opportunities
NMM is also active as a promoter hiring venues across Europe for our artists to perform. In
addition we are currently planning our own annual festivals that will be held across the UK.
Promoter Liaison
We have links with promoters all across the UK, each year we send our artist brochure out to
over 3000 organisations including orchestras, choirs, festivals & concert societies.
Diary Management
We use an online diary to manage bookings for our artists. The diary can be accessed 24/7
and automatically sends notifications to artists when a new booking is added.
Contract Negotiation
We negotiate contracts with recording labels, venues, agencies and any contract affecting an
artist’s career. Our legal team ensures that artists are informed of the implications of any
contract and are advised accordingly.
What are we looking for?
In essence we are looking for talent. You don’t have to be world renowned but you need to
have shown a high level of commitment.
Composers: You should have a track record of being commissioned and your work being
performed. We will request 3 works from your portfolio with recordings.
Application Fee
We spend a considerable amount of time reviewing applications and will audition over 300
people across Europe. In order to make this possible we charge an application fee. Applicants
are only charged if their application is successful at the first stage .
The application fees are
Soloists & Individuals £30
Groups 2-10 £40
Groups 10+ £50
Important Points
1. You are only charged if your application reaches certain stages in the process.
2. When applying you shall be charged 50% of the application fee
3. If you are invited to interview you will be charged the remainder of the fee. If you are not
invited to audition you will not be charged.
Application Stages
Stage 1: Initial Application
The first stage in the process is the online application. In the form you will be required to
submit examples of your work, provide an overview of your experience to date and also
indicate how you currently promote yourself.
Stage 2: Application Ranking
If
your application is accepted in Stage 1 we will score each element of the application form
and give your application an overall mark.
Applications are then sorted by audition location, the top scoring candidates will then be
passed to Stage 3.
b) Audition:
Conductors: You will be invited to conduct and rehearse a small chamber group for around 20
minutes. You will be informed of 1 work in advance and 1 additional work will be presented
to you on the day.
Composers: You will be asked to talk to the panel about 2 of your compositions and explain
the ideas and influences behind the works.
At this stage you will be able to submit additional documents such as a CV, repertoire list,
additional recordings etc. to support your application.
Stage 5: Final Interview: Applicants shortlisted from Stage 4 will be invited to a final interview.
In the interview we will talk through the artist contract and discuss your goals and aspirations.
