Neighborhood Notice of Street Closure with Early Start
on Saturday May 11th for Tower Crane Dismantle
May 2" 2019 Date of Public Notice
Re: LUNA Project - 2749 California Ave Project Update — Neighborhood Notice
Next week we will be dismantling the tower crane on our project. On Saturday we will be working @
long day, starting at 4:30 AM. The city of Seattle has issued us a temporary noise variance (6725511-NV)
for this work.
On Saturday May 11 2019, we are bringing in a mobilized crane for the removal the tower crane. This is
important to know, because mobilizing the crane onto the 2749 California Avenue project will require
the need to COMPLETLY close California Ave and Stevens Street including all parking spaces and
sidewalks for logistics.
Saturday May 11" California Ave SW will be closing from 4:30 AM — 8:00 PM.
‘Our installation company has secured the necessary street usage and noise variances to allow this key
project activity to occur in one day. Road closures and mobile crane arrival will begin at 4:30 am, with
crane removal completing on or before 8 pm that evening.
Due to heavy loads being lifted in the area, we ask that the public adhere to the street and sidewalk
closures during the time periods noted above. Safety crews and uniformed police officers will be on site
to assure a smooth and safe process.
We will open the street up as soon as possible and will try to limit our impact on street traffic and
access. CHINN Construction will do everything we can to limit the noise we generate on Saturday May
11", and we appreciate your understanding.
