● Great grandparents (Dad’s side)

● Both born in Prague, Czechoslovakia
● Adam left to come to the U.S. by boat to work many jobs including a tailor
● They reunited in Czechoslovakia and then sailed to Ellis Island, NY
● Cleaned buildings
Robert Pelliccio

● My great great grandfather (mother’s side)

● Came to the United States by boat from Italy.
● Made a new family in Brooklyn, New York
● Worked for both a milk company and a blacksmith
Lena Grella

● My great great grandmother

● Came from Italy, by boat through Ellis Island, New York
● Promised to marry an ill man named Gary Ungarelli who later died of kidney disease.
● Settled in New Jersey with her new husband
● Opened a corner store in Long Island to support children after father disappeared
Alexander Pelliccio and
Thomas Pelliccio

Alexander Pelliccio:

● Medic in WWII at the age of 35

● Head gardener and groundskeeper for a wealthy family in Long Island, New York

Thomas Pelliccio (Alexander’s son):

● Vietnam War
● Was awarded bronze star and purple heart
● Owns the NY Deli II located in Pinehurst, NC
● Still working to this day
Althea and Matthew Hrbek

● My parents
● Althea Hrbek: Born October 17, 1971
- Was a special education teacher for 15 years and is now a principle at Lockhart Elementary School
● Matthew Hrbek: Born July 27, 1968
- Athletic Director at Heritage Middle School
Evan, Francis, and Gabby Hrbek

- Gabby (left) Born August 19, 2006

- Francis (right) Born June 1, 2002
- I was born October 22, 1999
- Live in Raleigh, North Carolina

What do I want to know in the future??

For the future, I would like to learn more about my great great grandparents from my father’s side. Due to their
location, information is very hard to find and requires more connections that just my grandparents.
