Research reveals it, that a number of organizations have a challenge of digitizing there data due
inevitable demands empowered by the growth and development in technology. For instance
Organizations like the Uganda National Examination Board UNEB responsible for National
examinations In Uganda, Uganda Muslims Teachers Association (UMTA) amongst others fall a
victim which also take a lot of time to carry out the task because of the use of unexperienced and
inefficient personnel to do such an activity. And it is because of this that we the AL-PHA DATA
RECORDING AGENCY take the initiative to help such organizations with efficient, reliable and
experienced data recording services

organizations that handle huge sums of data especially that primarily mined from different

The target market are government entities which deals with large sums of data like the UNEB,

and used by different stakeholders. The agency shall also present its offered services to the target
markets so as to make it known by its target markets.

Uganda which is convenient and centralized hence easy to reach our target markets. It includes a
training area, offices, and storage room for our equipment

We plan to build our professional business website that shall help in reaching our different
stakeholders and market our agency in a 24/7 operating mode through the internet. We also wish
to have a Facebook page that will help disseminate our activities and the services that we offer to
our different customers and stakeholders through the social media platforms. Al-pha data
recording and management will also acquire a management system that will help in keeping our
record like the employee records, payments record i.e. invoices and pay slips among others.

Data entry/recording is a service that requires computer equipment like storage, monitors,
desktops, laptops among others. We plan to have a startup of like 20 computers together with
their different fully functioning components and so we hope to increase them in the nearby future
as we expand and grow our services

Legal structure

Al-pha Data recording Agency is a general partnership Business owned by three partners namely
Abubakar Ahmed, Mpiima Allan and who are yet to complete their Bachelor Degree in
Information Technology at Islamic University In Uganda-KC. The agency will formally exist and
shall be registered with the government regulatory institutions i.e. Uganda Revenue Authority
(URA), Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and the name fully registered by the Uganda
Registration Service Bureau (URSB) for all its legal rights and we chose this type of Business
because it enables the business to rise startup capital, also enables partners to share responsibility
amongst themselves, it is flexible since it easy to form and run, partners help each other in
decision making

The management of the agency is under the management of the CEO Mr. Abubakar Ahmed,
chief financial officer Mr. Mpiima Allan, and Marketing Manager Mr.Makubi Juma together with

Key Assumptions

Al-pha data recording agency wish to start up with a financial loan of 20,000,000 UGX. This
shall include purchase of initial equipment and tools totaling 12,000,000UGX, payment of initial
rent for our location 1,000,000 UGX, registration dues and all other initial expenditures that shall
be required for the formalization process of the business costing 500,000UGX, advertisements
i.e. billboards, print media, television stations among others which shall cost 3,000,000UGX, and
an other expenditures of 3,500,000UGX. These assumptions are a curtsey of research conducted
about our business through experienced and knowledgeable individuals, the internet and

We are going to use the loan to put up different branches in the eastern ,central and western
regions .we also want to ensure our marketing strategy is effected as planned
We are going to also use the loan to carry out adverts on different platforms that is to say
televisions, Newspapers, Radio stations amongst others to create awareness about our service to
different people.

Sources of Funds

Our main source of finance is a business loan from one of the trusteed commercial banks around
town. However, we also target other sources of funding like government grants, the youth
livelihood program and funds, donors and funds solicited from friends and family members who
will trust our venture and wish for it to successfully move forward.
