 STEPS
1. Sign in to WIN-DC as Administrator.
2. In Server Manager, open Active Directory Users and Computers.
3. Click the domain object (attt.bkdn) in the left pane.
4. Right-click the attt.bkdn object and click Properties. Click the General tab, if necessary, and verify that both the domain
and forest functional levels are Windows Server 2016.
5. Enter a description for the domain, such as Windows Server 2016 ATTT Domain, and then click OK.
6. Click to expand the domain node, if necessary. Click the Builtin folder in the left pane to view its contents, a list of group
accounts created when Active Directory was installed, in the right pane.
7. Click the Computers folder in the left pane. It will contain the computer accounts of computers that are joined to the
domain.
8. Click the Domain Controllers OU. A computer object representing the domain controller is displayed in the right pane.
The DC Type column displays GC, meaning the domain controller is a global catalog server. If more servers are added to
the domain as domain controllers, the computer accounts will be added here.
9. Click the Users folder in the left pane. The right pane displays groups and the Administrator and Guest user accounts
that are created by default. Notice that the Guest account has a down arrow, which means that the account is disabled.
This folder also contains any user accounts that were created before the computer was promoted to a DC.
