Project “Life”- All for the be erment of the ones who do not have a voice for their grievances.
One of the many reasons as to why people visit Sri Lanka is because of its very diverse wildlife.
From flora to fauna, a lot of species are only endemic to Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka's wildlife is as
varied as the island itself, ranging from elephants and leopards to marine life and a vast
number of different birds, and Sri Lanka is now one of the best places in the world to see
whales, including the mighty blue whale. Sri Lankan beaches are reckoned as a favorable
breeding spot of the sea turtles. Beach area belongs to Bundala Na onal Park is one of the
preferred nes ng area. There were few turtle hatcheries located on that beach area and most
of them were destroyed by wild pigs, elephants and due to natural phenomenon. We were
able to get special permission to enter into that costal area and we repaired two hatcheries
which were destroyed. In drought season, most of the wild animals die in forests and
sanctuaries without water. For the purpose of providing water in drought season for the wild
animals live in Bundala Sanctuary, we decided to dig some pits to store water as the second
step of the project “Life”a

We all prefer a peaceful and comfortable life
however life is filled with many problems.
There is no one who would prefer their own
life to end abruptly without solace.
Therefore, isn't it be er to live carefully as
we grow older? To live in such a way,
everyone seeks some kind of help or refuge.
As Buddhists we believe Buddhism as a
religion will always protect us and helping us
to understand the world. Other than that we
believe noble triple gem will always wish us
on our happiness and wellbeing. Scared
tooth relic of Buddha is the most precious
object of worship for Buddhists the world
over. Other than Temple of tooth relic, Kandy
in different temples several areas of the
country owned Sarvagna Dathu Relics of Lord
Buddha and most of the Buddhism people
wish to worship them at least on me for
their life. Sathbudu Wandana is a joint
project organized by Leo Club of Nawala
Metro and Leo Club of Isipathana College
with the purpose of ge ng blessings from
noble triple gem for the both clubs and and
the Villagers of Rambewa Anuradhapura.

Sri Lanka is experiencing an increasing
number of traffic accidents, posing a
serious danger to ci zens throughout the
c o u n t r y. A c c i d e n t s t a ke p l a c e
unexpectedly and uninten onally, cause
damage, injury, and death, as well as
trauma and heartache for vic ms.
Accidents also ignite much finger poin ng
and blaming. Some blame it on bad luck,
while others point to negligence or
structural lapses. The ques on of who is
responsible for increasing road mishaps
remain open. Is it motorists, or

pedestrians? Could it be bad road design
and infrastructure? Or is it a combina on
of these factors? Undoub ully the reason
is, lack of awareness and responsibility
towards road accident preven on. #Be
Safe is an ini a ve by Leo Club of Nawala
Metro to prevent Road Crime and
Accidents. Under the first phase of the
Project, an awareness session for three
wheeler drivers and s cker campaign to
raise and to increase road safety was
happened.

Addic on to Drugs or being substance dependent

is a form of brain disease characterized by the
compulsive seeking and use of drugs despite the
harmful consequences it may cause. In Sri Lanka,
total number of drug related arrests was 81,156 in
2018. It can be heartbreaking to find out that
someone you love is addicted to drugs. Drug
addic on is a serious disease that can cause
physical, emo onal, financial, legal and family
issues. It can even cause death. It is not enough to
make aware of the society to not to use drugs but
it is quite important to lending hand to the people
who currently trying to rehabilitate them self by
stop using drugs. As the next genera on of the
society we Leo Club of Nawala Metro decided to
visit a place where people who try to get out from
their drug addic on to lend our helping hand and
to bring the light for their new lives.

it's easy to have FAITH everything is going to work out, when
everything IS working out. It's much harder to have faith when you
are facing challenges in your life. But that is exactly when you need
to apply your faith. Because faith is believing in the unseen. Faith is
taking the first step. Faith is jumping in the deep end and
KNOWING everything will be OK. It's easy to be posi ve when
everything is working out… It's much harder, much-much harder
when nothing is working out…. But that's when we need it the
most. DIG DEEP! Find that strength that lives inside you. TRUST that if you keep doing your
thing, you will be rewarded. It might not happen right away, it rarely does, but it will happen if
you keep going. Make sure your story is one of strength. Make sure your story is one of
someone who refused to give up. Refused to se le. Refused to be normal.

Keep going. Your future self is begging you!!
