NETWORK INTERVENTION

Network intervention help organizations join together for a common

purpose, their use is growing rapidly in todays highly competitive; global
environment, they believe that if they have a lot of organization or having another
network, they also have another opportunity to serve or to introduce their product.
And I am agreed with that because I also believe that “the more connections you
have, is also the more opportunity you got”.

Managing the development of multi organization networks involve two types

of change;
(a.) Creating the network
(b.) Managing change within the established networks

CREATING THE NETWORK

They recognize their under organized nature. Forming them into more
coherent, for being able to know the whole operation and also involves in
understanding the relationship between the other participating organizations and
their roles in the organization system, as well as the implication and consequences
of organization leaving the network.

STAGES IN CREATING THE NETWORK

1. IDENTIFICATION STAGE

This stage of network development involves identifying existing and

potential member organizations best suited to achieve their collective
objectives. However, identifying potential member can be difficult
because at first, they still don’t know each other, to make membership
choice.
2. CONVENTION STAGE
After identifying a potential network, convention stage concern with
bringing them together to asses whether formalizing the network
desirable and feasible. This is a face to face meeting with the network
to know their insight and also suggestion for the goodness of the
organization and also to motivate them and perform better if they
become a member.

3. ORGANIZATION STAGE

When a convention stage result a decision making is to create a new

network member, begin to orient and organize them to task perform,
they develop the structure and mechanism that promote
communication and interaction among members and direct joint
effort to the task at hand.

4. EVALUATION STAGE

Evaluation stage is the final stage in creating a new network it involve

the assessing of performance. Members need a feedback to know that
they are effective and also to Identify problem and in what aspects
needs to improve and also finding a solution to that problem.
