UnlockingProcedure

Stepone:Preparation

1.DownloadthephonedriverfromtheHuaweiDevicewebsiteandinstallitonyourPC.
2.DownloadtheADBtoolkitprovidedbyGoogleandinstall itonyourPC.Ensurethatthedirectorywhereyouinstalledthetoolkit
containsthefilefastboot.exe.

Steptwo:Unlocking
1.Placethedeviceinfastbootmode:

Turnoffthedevice.(Note:Gotothesettingsmenuanddisablethefastbootfunction,orpoweroffthedevice,removethebatteryand
thenwaitforatleast2secondsbeforereinsertingthebattery.)Foramobilephone,pressandholdthevolumedownandpowerkeys

simultaneouslyforatleast10seconds(foratablet,pressandholdthevolumeupandpowerkeys).

Iftheaboveoperationsdonotswitchthedevicetofastbootmode,pleasetrythefollowingsteps:
Turnoffthedevice.(Note:Gotothesettingsmenuanddisablethefastbootfunction,orpoweroffthedevice,removethebatteryand
thenwaitforatleast2secondsbeforereinsertingthebattery.)TheninserttheUSBcableandpressandholdthevolumedownand
powerkeyssimultaneouslyforatleast10seconds.

2.Connectthedevicetoyourcomputer:

ConnectthedevicetoyourcomputerusingaUSBcable.Fromthecomputer,openacommandpromptandnavigatetothedirectory
wheretheADBtoolkitisinstalled.Next,checkthatthedeviceisconnectedtothecomputerproperlybyentering“fastbootdevices”in
thecommandwindowandpressingEnter.Ifamessagesuchas“9e42530efastboot”isdisplayed,theconnectionisworking.

3.Runtheunlockcommand:
Inthecommandprompt,enter“fastbootoemunlock****************”,where*referstothe16-digitunlockpassword,e.g.fastboot
oemunlock1234567812345678”.

4.Waitforthedevicebootloadertounlock:
Entertheunlockpassword.Yourdeviceshouldthenrestart.Ifthepasswordisenteredcorrectly,thedevicewillberestoredtoitsfactory
settings,afterwhichthedevicewill restartandenterstandbymode.Thiscompletestheunlockingofthedevice’sbootloader.Ifan

incorrectpasswordisentered,amessagewillbedisplayedandthedevicewillenterstandbymode.

5.Confirmwhetherthebootloaderwasunlockedsuccessfully.
Repeatsteps 1and2.Inthe computer’scommandprompt,enter“fastbootoem get-bootinfo”.Yourdevice's bootloaderwill be
displayed.“BootloaderLockState:LOCKED”indicatesthatthebootloaderisstilllocked.Performtheunlockingprocedureagainand

checkthatthepasswordwasenteredcorrectly.“BootloaderLockState:UNLOCKED”indicatesthatyourdevice’sbootloaderhasbeen
unlocked.Youcannowinstallthird-partyfirmware.

Note:tore-lockthebootloaderafterunlockingit,restorethedevice’ssoftwaretotheHuaweiofficialversionusingamicroSDcardthen
switchthedevicetofastbootmodeandenter“fastbootoemunlock****************”inthecomputer’scommandprompt,where*

referstothe16-digitunlockpassword.Thedevicewillthenrestart,andthebootloaderlockstatuswillchangeto“BootloaderLock
State:RELOCKED”.
