Everyone thinks that wildlife conservation keep the animal save but in year 2010,

experts said that wildlife conservation do more harm than good. According to that expert,
wildlife are harmed, environment is damaged and local people are criminalized by those
wildlife conservation project.

The beautiful beaches and wildlife tours demanded by tourists has led to the
development that do not bring any advantage to the wildlife, says Rosaleen Duffy, an expert
on the ethical dimensions of wildlife conservation and management. She did 15 years of
research , more than 300 interviews with conservation professionals, local communities,
tour operators and government officials throughout these years .Then only she published
her book Nature Crime: How We're Getting Conservation Wrong.

Duffy said when wildlife are reserved, the local communities can suddenly find that
their daily activities such as hunting and collecting wood have been outlawed. At the same
time, people intent to protect animal species that are at the edge of extinction. This led to
the creation of wild,”people-free “areas. This led to millions of people are being displaced
across the world.

Duffy, the professor of international politics at Manchester University claims that

conservation does not form neat win-win situation. Communities are criminalized by the
rules and regulation. They are dressed up in the language of partnership and participation
in the tourism industry. Duffy emphasize that her intention is not to stop people from
supporting the wildlife conservation scheme. Instead, she wants the environmentalists to
inspect what are the real cost and benefits of conservation are, so that way of doing for
people and for animals can be developed.

Another argument about wildlife conservation is that scientists said that protecting
wildlife with fences can do more harm than good. The debate about fencing has divided
conservation organizations and scientists. Some supporters said that it is necessary to have
fencing. Not only to reduce wildlife conflicts with human but to protect endangered species
and keep wildlife save from predation or spread of disease. In March 2013, Craig Packer, a
lion biologist in University of Minnesota argued that fencing work as tool to help save
Africa’s lions. They argued that without fencing the lion population will decrease . This is
because lions has already lost 75% of their habitats and the population of humans in Africa
would only keep on growing leading to further loss.

The scientists, who believed that fencing can do more harm than good counter the
study of Craig Parker. According to the scientists, fencing can alter habitats and migration
routes of wildlife, along with raising questions about how we decide which species is the
most important to save. They also raised concerns about the subsequent problems that
come with trying to manage landscapes to benefit a single species.
In some parts of the world, fencing is part of the culture of wildlife conservation but fencing
alters ecosystems, and can cause some species to extinct or disappear. Fencing can brings
benefits and has helped some wild animals but they believe that separating wildlife can
drastically impact the landscape and make some species more vulnerable to extinction by
isolating populations.
