1.0 SCOPE
This procedure defines a systematic method to be used for issuing all in-house
engineering drawings by the engineering disciplines. This procedure also
includes drawings and sketches prepared for all estimates, squad check,
bidding, approval, design, and for construction. This procedure shall be followed
in all cases.
2.0 GENERAL
2.1 All engineering drawings issued prior to "Issue for Construction" shall be
identified with a circle located above the title block. Use the alphabet (A,
B, C, etc.) in the upper half of circle to identify revisions. See examples
on pages 3, 4 and 5.
2.2 The first issue of all engineering drawings issued for construction shall be
identified with Revision "O", "Issued for Construction." Subsequent
revisions shall be numerical. See example on Page 6. The drawing title
block is to be used and any "circles" removed.
2.3 Any drawing issued to any department other than engineering, such as
estimating, material control or purchasing for purposes such as material
take-off, inquiry, or purchase must be identified with a revision letter or
number at the time of issuance. Subsequent revisions to these drawings
shall be identified with either letters or numbers. See 2.1 and 2.2 above.
2.4 All drawings including P&ID's and Flow Sheets issued as a revision to a
previous issue, shall have all changes scoped with a cloud and identified
with a revision Triangle.
2.5 The procedure described in 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 shall apply to equipment
drawings prepared in-house, "Issue for Construction" shall be substituted
with "Issue for Purchase" as the milestone issue for equipment drawings
in 2.1 and 2.2.
3.0 PROCEDURE
3.1 See pages (3,4, and 5) for typical examples of a drawing issued prior to
"Issued for Construction."
3.2 See page 6 for typical examples of a drawings "Issued for Construction" or
