Toronto, Canada, lies on the shore of Lake Ontario. The city is well located with direct flights
to most major world cities. Toronto is multicultural center, and there are over 100 ethnic groups.
English and French are the official languages in Canada, but many people also speak Chinese,
Italian, Tamil, Portuguese and Spanish. In Toronto, you can visit a Chinatown, a Little Portugal, and
enjoy the typical foods of many different countries.
Toronto has many attractions: The CN Tower is one of the Seven Wonders of Modern World.
The building is 553 meters high, and it has observation desks with glass floors. The view from the
top is fantastic. Near the tower is the Sky dome, famous for its retractable roof. It is home to
Toronto's baseball team, the Blue Jays and its football team, the Argonauts.
But what impresses visitors a lot is PATH. PATH is Toronto's underground walkway, and it is
the largest underground shopping complex in the world. It runs for 27 kilometers and connects 1200
shops and other businesses. There, visitors and residents can go shopping for many things, make a
photocopy, have a haircut, catch a movie, or find a subway stop. It is especially convenient in winter
when the temperatures are many degrees below zero and when there is snow.
Toronto is a safe city, and the quality of life is one of the best in the world.
