1/ FAMOUS PEOPLE:

A famous person who I am really interested in is definitely Tóc Tiên. She is a pop sensation in
VN. Tóc Tiên is my biggest idol for many reasons. Firstly, she is a great singer with
distinguishable and remarkable voice. Some years ago, I caught a glimpse of her on TV and was
immediately hooked by her outstanding performance. I have became her loyal fan since then. I
really like the way she sings and the way she expresses the feeling of the song. Many of his
songs have become parts of my life and memory. Besides, My Tam is beloved for her good
personality too. She is known to all her fans for her sense of humour. Finally, together with her
fans and friends, she has been doing a lot of charity activities silently to help the poor, the sick
and the homeless people. I don’t really know what I’d do if I met Bryan Cranston because I’ve
never actually met a famous person before. However, I’d probably shake his hand and tell him I
really admire his work on stage. All in all, Tóc Tiên is the role model of how singers should be,
and will be an inspiration for me in my future career.

2/ A TH I NG YOU B OU G H T R E C E N T L Y :

I would like to talk about an item that I purchased two weeks ago. It was a new phone. My old
one was really old, the screen was broken, and the battery life was almost non-existent.
Sometimes I had to charge it twice a day. So I decided it was time for a change.
My mom and I went to an electronics store and decided to buy the iPhone 6. The phone is
rectangular and looks very chic in yellow. It is compact and convenient for me to take
anywhere. The first reason why I want to purchase it is that I can use the phone to keep in touch
with friends and family, composing text message and sending email at the push of a button.
Besides, it has various features like video, MP3 players, wireless Internet, digital camera and
games. It even has a calendar that reminds me of important appointments. Finally, It holds my
contacts, my photos, my music and collection. It's like having my whole life in my pocket. I
couldn't live without it. The phone is really useful and I always appreciate it.

3/ A naughty thing you did when you were a child:

Well, I remember when I was six years old. My aunt gave me two cute kittens as my birthday
present. One day, my parents went to work, and I was home alone. Actually, I was playing with
my kittens. You know, the kittens were so tiny, cute and furry. They were gorgeous. I liked
playing with them so much. When my kittens were sleeping on the sofa and they were curled up
into a ball, I saw their whiskers waving. That was so strange, especially to a young child. I
wondered what would happen if I cut their whiskers off. Would my kittens’ whiskers grow back
if cut? If I cut off their whiskers, would they lose their balance? There were so many questions
in my mind. I thought I must find the answers to them by myself. So, I found the scissors and
cut them off. My kittens did not do anything. But my parents were a little angry about that when
they found that. They told me the whiskers were very important to my kittens. They are
 necessary and useful for navigation and measuring an opening. That is meaning, I should not
cut them off. At that time, I knew I did something wrong. But fortunately, after a few weeks,
my kittens’ whiskers came back. I was so happy about that. They were amazing!

1. Describe an advertisement you have seen recently

- I'm going to talk about an advertisement of Thiên Long Pen. This was a creative
advertisement and I found it very interesting. I watched this advertisement yesterday in a
TV channel while I was watching a music show.

The advertisement starts with a boy who was in a school and then studied in a university
and during that time the advertisement showed some of the successes he achieved and
was congratulated. He became a successful journalist and finally won an international
prize for his honesty and bravery in his profession. His parents, mentors, teachers, friends
and some others were highlighted at the end of the advertisement and as a flash back the
Cello pen was shown. The advertisement revealed that the pen has contributed from the
beginning to the end of his success and was never congratulated. Yet this is a silent
partner of the man’s success.

This advertisement was a commercial advertisement of a company who manufactures and

sells the pen. So the advertisement revealed how important the pens are in our success
and how this pen helps people to become who they are! I guess this was a creative ad and
was made with care as it has been a good advertisement to watch.

WRITING:

Undeniably, tourism, AN INDUSTRY WITHOUT CHIMNEY, has brought economic benefits to

host destinations from travel – related services. While it can be argued that the issue that tourism
brings us a lot of benefits, there are some people who strongly advocate that it could have a
harmful impact. In my opinion, its drawbacks could never overshadow its benefits. This essay will
discuss both pros and cons of the issue.

On the one hand, there are some advantages of the issue. Firstly, tourism is a popular
leisure activity. Tourists can relax, have fun, experience different customs and cultures.
Travel opens our minds. It can broaden our horizons. Besides, the tourism industry has
become the backbone of many economies of the world. People rely on tourism for their
income. Tourism attracts investment from governments and companies. It creates
employment due to demand for goods and services. It helps to improve the standard of
living.
 On the other hand, tourism can have a negative impact on the environment. The
construction of excessive building destroyed natural habitats and spoils the landscape.
Tourism creates pollution and waste. It puts pressure on local resources such as food,
water and energy. Another issue that tourism may cause a rise in the cost of living. Prices
of goods and services go up. All of this affects local people. Furthermore, local traditions
may be lost. Traditional jobs and skills die out such as farming and fishing. Local people
are forced to work in the tourist industry.

In conclusion, the above mentioned facts have outlined the benefits as well as the drawbacks of
this issue. Taking into account both sides of the trend, it seems to me that the possible benefits are
more significant than the potential dangers. Thus, people should take advantage of the pros and
minimize the cons associated with it.
