LITERACY focus standard
CCSS: RI 1.2 Students will identify the
main topic and retell key details of a text.
Students identify the author’s most important
point in an informational text. They will also choose
key details that support their choice.
This week’s focus text:
Insect Detective

Important Information:
 MVES Raffle ends this Wednesday.
Please turn in tickets and money. Students had five
tickets to sell to raise money for updating and
replacing technology at our school.
 Early dismissal is at 11:30 on Wednesday. Students
will receive lunch at school.
 Thursday is our final Kona Ice fundraiser.
Pre-pay Monday through Wednesday only.
 The class needs glue sticks. Please help if you can.
We will use a lot these last few weeks!
 Shape homework is the only thing due this week.
 Remember that attendance is extra important with
end of the year assessments.
