Volunteer | Saint Matthew Catholic School, Phoenix, AZ
JANUARY 2019 – PRESENT
Every Friday I volunteer to give ‘mini’ art lessons to students at a local private elementary school.
Students at this school have no access to art instruction but show great enthusiasm to learn.
Therefore, I decided to share my knowledge with them.

JULY 2017 – JANUARY 2019
As a recipient of the REDES EnFamilia Scholarship I was responsible for donating my time and talent
to spreading creativity in the community. I gave small painting workshops to families, organized teen
art exhibitions, and worked on community projects at the EnFamilia facilities.

Volunteer (Instructor’s Assistant) | Mesa Arts Center, Mesa, AZ


JULY 2016 – PRESENT
As the instructor’s assistant in the drawing and painting studios, I help organize class information on
Excel spreadsheets. Also, I volunteer to aid the instructors overlooking the art-making activities
during festivities.

During my time volunteering I not only guide visitors throughout the museum, but I participate in art-

2011 – PRESENT
Through my parent’s contacts, I was able to intern with a local artist who began teaching me the
foundations of painting. He has also taught me how to build my own stretched canvases and
properly frame my work.
