Like photography, videography can be very hard to get into. This is a very difficult

industry to be competitive in. This occupation includes individuals that are ambitions,

tech savvy, naturally creative, and can tell a story through motion pictures. After finally

earning the education and credentials the field requires you to have, you may struggling

finding a job that suits your skill set and your style.

One of the most exciting and stressful aspects being a videographer is putting together

your own video production equipment package. In this industry, there is no “one size fits

all” there is many variables to consider, including; budget, type of project, loction,

experience, etc… Common items you’d be likely see in a videographers equipment

package would be: a video camera (usually a DSLR or mirrorless camera), plenty of

lenses, a stabilizer (tripod, monopod, “kick stand”), Lighting (three point camera system

or camera light), audio essentials (wireless mics, boompole, shotgun mic, XLR cable,)

headphones, drives, SD card, and last but not least PLENTY OF BATTERIES.
