INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION TO PROJECT

Project is a key to building work experience as a recent graduate or student. Organizations are much
likely to hire someone with project or work experience rather than hiring the fresher’s or someone
with a generic resume.so project acts as a platform to mold the career and having the practical
experience of corporate environment. Project also helps in learning more on the new fields and
exploring myself in it. It also connects me to the organizations where I can shape my skills and
knowledge.
The section.377 of Indian Penal Code was introduced in 1864 of British rule as a criminalized
offence. Before it was considered as unnatural offence. But, on 6th of September 2018 Supreme Court
passed the finalized the judgment by decriminalizing the section.377. So that the people can open-
up with their identities in society and they will get equal rights in society. The LGBT (lesbians-gays-
bisexual-transgender) people will get equal opportunities in societies to live like a common people.
The people have different opinions on sec.377 as their perception, imagination and on the basis of
assumption. Most of the people consider this section as offence and LGBT people as a criminals. The
homosexuality is not accepted by our Indian culture. As it is considered as unnatural offence.
However, the Supreme Court is declared the section.377 as decriminalized offence and saying that
LGBT’s are not criminals, which is action of nature. And comes to another part sexuality between
minority is also considered as not an offence when there is mutual acceptance between both the
parties by saying that affair is not an offence.

2.6 Literature review

In 2009, the Governor of the province of Aceh (island of Sumatra) refused to sign a bill that would create
a Muslim Criminal Code, including a prohibition of same-sex sexual activity. Even if the bill became
law, this prohibition would not be necessarily permitted by Indonesia’s Constitution. See Ziba Mir-
Hussein & Vanja Hamzic, Control and Sexuality: The Revival of Zina Laws in Muslim Contexts 67
(2010).

See Michael Kirby, Legal Discrimination Against Homosexuals: A Blind Spot of the Commonwealth
of Nations?, European Human Rights Law Review 21 (2009); Sumit Baud, Human Rights and the
Criminalisation of Consensual Same-Sex Sexual Acts in the Commonwealth, South and Southeast Asia
