content accessible. I chose the text book analysis to display my understanding of textbooks as
one of many instructional methods. Teachers cannot rely on a single method to effectively

of the necessity for student engagement. The demo portion of the artifact is not my best
display of teaching, however I picked this artifact to show what I learned about the experience.

as an artifact because it displays a great catalog of different careers using history directly or
using the skills developed from studying history. The article provides a good general view and
understanding of the study of history and how it relates and applies to occupations and careers.
We often limit our thinking of the study of history as worldly events that explain our current
society but we forget that we all have individual histories of personal experience. It is important
that high school students understand that we need learn from our past to understand how we
got to where we are now and to help guide us to make better decisions in the future as a

blueprint for our success in the classroom. In this lesson I use SDAIE strategies like pre-
assessments, bridging, and visual aides to make content more accessible for all students. In the
