LESSON PLAN

Level of Education : Junior High School

Subject : Science
Class/Semester : IX/1
Topic : Electrodynamics
Sub Topic : Ohm Law
Allocation of Time : 2 X 40 minutes

A. BASIC COMPETENCE
Students are able to analyze the experiment of electrodynamics in a circuit.

B. INDICATOR
Students are able to:
1. Observe the relationship between electric current and potential difference in a circuit.

C. Learning Material
Relation between electric current and potential difference in the circuit.
Ohm Law
Developed in 1827 by George Simon Ohm :
 the greater the voltage, the more the current.
 The more the resistance for the same voltage, the less the current.
 Current is proportional to the applied voltage and inversely proportional to the resistance.
Ohms Law states:
 The amount of current (I) that will flow is proportional to the voltage applied (V), and inversely
proportional to the resistance (R) of the circuit.
 As Resistance increases, current decreases.

Relation between electric current and potential difference in a circuit is drawn in the graph below:

I
V = Constant
I

V
Formula : I
R

Where: I = current (amperes, A)

V = voltage (volts, V)
R = resistance (ohms, )

D. MCC : 75

E. Learning Method and Model:

1. Model : Learning Cycle
2. Strategy : POE (Predict, Observe, Explanation)
3. approach : CTL
4. Method : Experiment, Discuss, DI

First Explores Introduction 5

 Find the information about specific
Engagement
characteristic of flashlight through question
and answer that related with the topic
 Give the problem : Do you know flashlight?
Predicts Why the lamp will bright if there is using more
battery in the flashlight?
 Give the information about this topic.
 Make a group (learning community )
Elaboration Main Activity 10
In the group, student do the experiment and make
Exploration
the result through the worksheet
observes
Student design the material using the figure below:

Student writes the result measuring of ammeter and

voltmeter with different number of battery in the
table.

Student draws the graph of Relation between

electric current (I) and potential (V) through the
observation data

Explanation
Student presents Relation between electric current
and potential according to the data and graph.
Due the discussed, teacher guide the student to get
Ohm Law Concept.
Confirmation
Teacher give the question about application Ohm
Explanation Law in daily life.
“What will happen if the flashlight is changed with
the other specs?”
