I was able to present my Teacher Leader Project during our monthly PLC. There were four English Teachers in
attendance from various OFL LA centers including: Compton, Hawthorne, and Watts. The four teachers that
were there for my presentation are part of my district and teach some level of high school English. All four
teachers were able to take the assessment, which was a Google Survey Form that I created. Overall, all four
teachers were satisfied with the presentation and found it relevant and helpful to their own practice.
The survey asked a variety of questions ranging from their thoughts on the quality of the presentation to how
motivated they felt to use the strategies discussed. One of the major takeaways my audience had was
“understanding that there are two different types of learners” to address. All four teachers were satisfied with the
logistics of the presentation including: the survey, lecture, tips and strategies, resources, and the Q&A.
Although one teacher felt that a modeling of one of the strategies could have added a bigger impact.
Surprisingly, all four teachers found The Learning Menu to be the most helpful strategy and were motivated to
use it in their own classrooms. Overall, I was pleased with the feedback I received from my colleagues on my
presentation and I was excited to learn hat I have helped inform or motivate them in some way by providing
them with strategies and resources. I look forward to the next time that I will present on another topic to my
PLC.

Other Notes and Comments
One of the ways that I would like to improve my presentations is by modeling for my audience how to
execute the learning strategies. I would also like to research and present on topics that might not be so
common to help push the standard on what areas to focus on in our planning and instruction.
