Opinion about Ethan Frome

 My opinion about Ethan From is that the book is interesting because it isn’t too
long so, the story start really fast, although the plot is the same as the majority of
this kind of novels it have some interesting details, one of those details that I like is
the way in which the author to introduce descriptions about nature in almost all the
story and comparative it with the situations of the characters, another thing that I
like in the story is the elements of a horror story although the story isn’t really this
kind of novel.

From my point of view Ethan is really selfish because he didn’t get marry with
Zeena because he loved her, I think that he was just grateful with the actions that
she did for him, and the most important thing that she did was to take care of
his mother when she was sick and also because Ethan didn’t have anyone with him
when it happened because his father was already dead and another argument that
I can give about that is Ethan wasn’t in love with Mattie because when he known
that Zeena wanted to fire Mattie, Ethan didn’t do anything to prevent it, he just
told Mattie that she must not go from his side but he didn’t do anything for make
Mattie stay and during the accident that Ethan and Mattie had, Ethan thought in
Zeena, so I think that Zeena was still be important to Ethan and after the accident
Mattie didn’t leave frome’s farm and she stayed with Ethan and Zeena but Ethan
didn’t see very happy for it because he should take care of Mattie and Zeena because
Zeena was sick and maybe Mattie couldn’t do anything by herself so I Ethan wasn’t
comfortable about it.

So, I liked the story but in the end if I could change it I would like that Zeena
take revenge on Ethan because he wasn’t good with her and he was lying to her
everytime to stayed with Mattie but I don’t take care about it the story is very good.

I recommend this book to anyone that like love and horror stories because the
story is light and the way that the author plays with the characters is very funny
because I think that the author like to see the characters to suffer but the author
does it in a very intelligent way.
