Thank you to our residents for their continued support of Beavercreek City Schools! Voters
have approved both school ballot issues put before them on May 7. Passage of the operating
levy and permanent improvement levy is a clear indicator that the future of our school district
remains a top priority for our community, which believes that strong schools create strong
communities.

I especially would like to extend my gratitude to the countless volunteers who worked
tirelessly to make sure our community was well informed with the facts about the needs we
face as a school district and community.

Revenue generated from these levies will allow students the opportunity to receive an
education that prepares them for the future. The assets, services, programs and personnel
necessary to deliver meaningful and relevant instruction will remain in place. These levies will
help maintain what our community already has and what families expect.

It is critical to understand that our district leadership will always continue exploring avenues to
cut costs and save money. The number of resources necessary to educate our kids is
staggering; therefore, we will continue to be mindful of our taxpayer dollars and stretch our
budget as much as possible without compromising the great experience we offer to our
students and staff.

Although the passage of the May 7 ballot requests is a step in the right direction, the
Beavercreek City School District still faces challenges that require the help and support of our
community. We have an urgent need to find additional learning space for our students; current
facilities are struggling to keep pace with the numbers of new students coming into our district
and projections indicate the trend will continue well into the future. A great deal of work has
already been completed in this matter but ultimately we will rely on collaboration with our
entire community to identify a comprehensive solution.

It’s now time to take a step back and and focus our attention on the celebrations of the
immediate future. We will soon see hundreds of young men and women graduate from
Beavercreek High School and begin the next chapter in their lives. One chapter closes while
another one opens as we prepare to welcome new students into our school district family and
get our current students ready for next year.

There is a lot of work still to be completed but the future looks promising for Beavercreek City
Schools. With the Beavercreek community standing beside us, great things will happen.
