6t m/s2. Find the distance the motorcycle travels before it stops.

Question 2
Ball A is released from rest at a height of 12 m at the same time that
ball B is thrown upward, 1.5 m from the ground. The balls pass one
another at a height of 6 m. Find the speed at which ball B was thrown
upward.

Question 3
Given the v-t graph for a train moving between two stations. Find the
a-t graph and s-t graph over this time interval
Question 4
Given the v-t graph shown. Find the a-t graph, average speed, and
distance traveled for the 30 s interval.

Question 5
A particle moves along a horizontal path with a velocity of v= (3t2–6t)
m/s. if it is initially located at the origin O, determine the distance
traveled in 3.5s and the particle’s average velocity and speed during
the time interval.
Question 6
The car moves in a straight line such that for a short time its
velocity is defined by v = (0.9t2+0.6t) m/s where t is in sec, when t
= 0, s = 0. Determine it position and acceleration when t = 3s.

Question 7
A bicycle moves along a straight road such that it position is
described by the graph as shown. Construct the v-t and a-t graphs for
0 ≤ t ≤ 30s.
Question 8
A test car starts from rest and travels along a straight track such that
it accelerates at a constant rate for 10 s and then decelerates at a
constant rate. Draw the v-t and s-t graphs and determine the time t’
needed to stop the car. How far has the car traveled?

Question 9
The v-s graph describing the motion of a motorcycle is shown in
below. Construct the a-s graph of the motion and determine the time
needed for the motorcycle to reach the position s= 120 m.
Question 10
A rocket travel upward at 75 m/s. When it is 40vm from the ground,
the engine fails. Determine max height sB reached by the rocket and
its speed just before it hits the ground.
Question 11
Two cars A and B move at time t = 0. Car A accelerate with constant
acceleration of 1 m/s2, whereas car B moves with constant
deceleration of 2 m/s2. Determine (a) the time t and distance s where
car A will overtake car B. (b) the velocities of these cars during
overtaking taken place.

Question 12
Two cars A and B started to move from a traffic light at time t = 0 and
vo= 0. Car A moves with a constant acceleration, a = 6 m/s2, whereas
car B moves with acceleration, a= 3t3 m/s2, where t is time in second.
Determine the distance between the two cars when the car A has
reached a velocity of 90 km/h.
Question 13
The displacement of a mechanical component follows a ruled path as
a function of time. The function dis(t) = 2t3–24t + 6meter. (a)Derive
the velocity and acceleration based on the given displacement
function dis(t) (b) Calculate the time to reach velocity of 72 m/s and
also calculate the corresponding acceleration at that time (c) Plot the
displacement, velocity and acceleration versus time for the first 4
seconds every 1 second.

Question 14
A car starts from rest and reaches a speed of 20 m/s after traveling
125 m along a straight road. Determine its constant acceleration and
the time of travel.

Question 15
The position of a particle along a straight line is given by s=(1.5t3–
13.5t2 + 22.5t) ft, where t is in seconds. Determine the position of the
particle when t = 6s and the total distance it travels during the 6 s
time interval. Hint: Plot the path to determine the total distance
traveled.

Question 16
The jet plane starts from rest at s = 0 and is subjected to the
acceleration shown. Determine the speed of the plane when it has
traveled a distance d. Also, how much time is required for it to travel
the distance d? Given : d = 60 m, ao = 22.5 m/s2, s1 = 150 m.
Question 17
The jet car is originally traveling at speed v0 when it is subjected to
