Mission Statement:
After researching appropriate, peer-reviewed sources, we will summarize and synthesize the latest
research on depression. We will write a research review article summarizing recent findings in this
research area.

Research Question:​ To summarize the broader topic of depression in various fields: biology, chemistry,
psychology, and public health.

Defining Success
We will meet the Student Learning Objectives for the course.
We will also aim to meet the agreed and defined deadlines.
We will make an effort to have clear communication and inform group members if they are having
trouble meeting deadlines at least one day before the due dates.

Conflict Resolution
We will attempt to resolve any issues amongst each other and follow the missed deadline repercussions
we discuss below. In an effort to avoid issues regarding deadlines, we have utilized the concept of
“padding the schedule” to ensure that each task is completed at least two days before the deadline. We
have also agreed to use a shared google document to hold each other accountable. If a team member
notices that someone has failed to log on and work on their assigned section, we will reach out to one
another and communicate our concerns.

Missed Deadlines
Strike one​: Person who misses deadline is assigned a new deadline by a group member within two days
Strike two​: Group meeting to discuss why deadline was missed and what the member will do to complete
assigned material.
Strike three​: We will ask Dr. Bruce to assign an anonymous third party to decide how to resolve the
conflict. In this case, we will write up what the issue is, detailing the entire situation to the best of our
ability. We have agreed to take into consideration whatever the anonymous team decides.
