Based on the history of Barangay Malawag, Typhoon is the top hazard that the people have
experienced. The event will probably occur in most or many cases. In these cases, the barangay
records no casualty and at least 1-5 people injured with no missing. Records shows that the barangay
already experienced significant loss and/or damage to property of Php500,001-3M with more than 1
month delay in operations. Since there are 34% households that is made up of light materials,
typhoon can affect 217 houses and 911 individuals.

Flood is also likely to happen during rainy season and when typhoon occurs. There are two
specific areas that can be affected with at least 24 families and 88 individuals. Minor loss and/or
damage to property (up to Php500,000 worth of damage) and this pertains to affected ricelands.
