This article was about how technology has many benefits in physical
education classes and different tools that I could use during my
classes. While the tech tool that I will be presenting about is not in
this article, I learned about 4 new apps that I could take advantage of
during my classes. It also talks about wearable technology such as

2. Teaching with Technology in Physical Education

This article talks about the benefits that technology implementation
can have in the physical education setting. It also talks about certain
technology tools such as heart rate monitors, projector screens in
the gym, iPads, etc. and how these tools are used to assess students

can collect work and create a positive environment. Lastly, the
article talks about how we can use these tools to advocate for the
importance of physical education in schools and to create a
meaningful experience for all students.

Mentor Feedback
Directions: The Mentor should Identify strengths and areas of improvement in each of the following areas.
The candidate had a very well planned and well organized presentation
and there were many things that I thought he did well, but also some
areas that he can improve upon. The presentation itself went very well
as the candidate did a good job speaking in front of the department

think some of the slides on the notes and handouts could have been a
bit bigger, but overall I think the handouts looked good. Myself and the
department liked how he included some humor into the slide
presentation as it kept us engaged in the content of the presentation.
I thought the candidate did a good job with presenting in an effective
way while using principles of adult learning. He provided great

program. We both worked together to help define our department

implement in our respective classes. I believe the culture of our
program and implementing not just technology, but better, more
effective teaching practices is huge for building the effective program
we want here at our school.
The overall delivery of the presentation was fantastic. The candidate
was well organized in the slides, spoke clearly and effectively with the
right tone. The presentation was engaging and intriguing for the entire
department to really reflect on our program here. My one thing that I
think could have been done differently was to split up the topics and to

understand the time constraints, but both of those topics can be talked
about in greater length and detail in order for our teachers to really
understand the content. Overall, I wanted the candidate to provide
more of the culture topic as an intro before we go deeper as a
department.
Analysis and Summary of Audience Assessment
Directions: Record assessment data into Assessment Data Table (see end of document). Include copies of assessment tool with submission. Include at least one graph in your summary.

My survey consisted of 5 questions that had them rate a topic on a 1-5 scale.

- Rate the quality of the content presented in this presentation

- Rate your understanding of the content presented
- Rate the relevance of the content to our P.E. Dept. in your opinion
