Bulatao-Del Rosario pinpoint the kill, spiking through the crest

Fercchelle Bulatao teamed up with Gwyneth del Rosario representing Yellow team spiked off
Blue, Red and White team in a one set volleyball match, scoring 25-18, 25-18, 25-16
respectively as they reap the crown in their 2018 School Intramurals last September 17 at the
volleyball court of City of Malolos Integrated School (CMIS), Sto. Rosario, City of Malolos,
Bulacan.
Bulatao geared with determination spearheaded their first bout against Blue Team, 25-18,
notching huge points from powerful spikes that cannot be returned by their opponents as if
they were daggers.
But her partner Del Rosario declined to be ignored as she dominated their second match over
Red Team, 25-18, delivering formidable serves which is unachievable to receive.
For their final game against White team, the duo encountered trials as they commit errors in
the first part but after planning some strategy, a sudden change on their game appeared that
resulted to their victory, 25-16. “Never give up, fight till the end,” were the words that boost
their game, said Bulatao.
“I’m so happy we won,” claimed by Del Rosario as she showed sportsmanship to their
opponents and appreciation to their co-students who supported and cheered for them.

Pinangunahan ni Bulatao na puno ng lakas at determinasyon ang laban kontra sa Asul na
koponan, 25-18, sa pamamagitan ng pagbitaw ng mga hindi mapigilang “spikes” para
makapagtala ng malaking kalamangan.
Hindi naman nagpatalo ang kanyang katuwang na si Del Rosario sa pagpapakitang gilas at
bumawi naman ito sa laban kontra Pula, 25-18, nagdeliber siya ng mga “serves” na hindi kayang
maibalik kaya’t nakuha rin nila ang panalo.
Pinahirapan ng Puting koponan ang kanilang tambalan sa unang parte ng kanilang laro, ngunit
hindi naman nagpatinag ang dalawa kaya’t matapos lang ang ilang pagpaplano ng kanilang
magiging stratehiya, pumoste sila ng maramang iskor para tanghalin na kampeon.
“Sobrang saya namin na kami ang nanalo,” sinaad ni Del Rosario kasabay ng pagpapasalamat sa
mga nakalaban at sa mga kapwa estudyante na sa kanila’y sumuporta.
Nakamit ng dalawang manlalaro ang ticket patungong District Meet na kanilang pagsasalihan
matapos lamang ang ilang buwan na pageensayo.

Strategize a counteraction

Never let the inimical effects of playing sports depress you from allotting enough time for your
academics, even if you feel the urge to focus on your sports, you’re also required to obtain
good grades.
The predicament of being a student-athlete in the early stage is that sports mostly affect their
academics, resulting to much larger problems such as parting with your sport owing to your
parents’ and teachers’ decision.
According to Effect of Physical Education and Activity Levels on Academic Achievement in
Children, a study conducted by Robert Malina and researchers, “many school districts are
reducing physical education requirements and some are eliminating these programs having that
the percentage of schools requiring physical education in grade 1-6 decreases from
approximately 50%,” thus, it is indicated that these students may not experience playing their
sports again if they continue to get minimal academic grades.
Usually students ranging from 10 years of age and above are most likely the aspirants who
enters the realm of sports but most of them still lack the attributes and characteristics to put
their academic and sports in equilibrium.
Innate skills are not sufficient for them to balance it but they should be trained to respect, to be
humble, to cooperate, to be industrious and to have right time management. These ideal values
may not only make them star players of their school, but also an excellent student.
Sports might really affect one’s academic performance if not considered completely and if
you’re a student athlete that doesn’t intend to suffer from not playing, then, it’s time to
balance everything and strategize a counteraction.

Tamang pagbalanse ng oras

Huwag kang magpatalo sa mga masasamang epekto sa paglalaro ng isports gaya ng pagbaba ng
grado sa akademiko dahil madali lang itong masosolusyonan kung alam mo lang at taglay mo
ang mga karapat-dapat na ugali ng isang huwarang atleta.
Pinagdedebatehan na noon pa man kung ang isports ba ay nakakaapekto talaga sa akademiko
ng mga estudyanteng atleta dahil kitang-kita na madaming atleta ang nagkakaroon ng problema
sa pagkakamit ng maayos na grado.
Nagdudulot pa ito ng mas malaking problema gaya ng pagbibitaw sa isports na pinaghuhusayan
ng isang atleta na walang sino man ang may gusto kapag pinatigil ito ng kanilang mga magulang
o ng kanilang mga guro.

hindi nila mapagsabay at mabalanse ng tama ang kanilang paglalaan ng oras, at marami sa
kanila ay hindi pa taglay ang angkop na katangian gaya ng pagiging mapagkumbaba,
pakikipagtulungan, pagiging masipag at tamang pamamahala ng oras.
Hindi lang sila magiging huwaran na atleta pag nakamit nila itong mga ginintuang ugali pero
magkakamit pa sila ng titulo sa pagiging mahusay na estudyante kung kaya’t oras na para
balansehin nang tama ang oras sa isports at akademiko.

Spiking for Fitness

Playing Volleyball is not only about doing your hobby, experiencing for fun, and furnacing skills,
one great aspect of participating in the sport is that it enriches your health effectively.
City of Malolos Integrated School (CMIS)-Sto.Rosario organized a volleyball tournament
affiliated with their School Intramurals where four teams battled each other for acquiring the
crown last September 17 at their school grounds, Sto. Rosario, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
Competitors of the said tourney revealed their talents in playing volleyball as they delivered
vigorous spikes that is certainly nourished from hardwork, enthusiasm and passion to gear up
their bodies.
Although most sports seem to develop a more augmented bodily kinesthetic, we must
recognize the unique characteristics that players should possess such as the capacity to perform
a competent coordination of the eyes and limbs.
The management purposively conducted the volleyball event for the students to acquire
various nutritious outcomes in their bodies such as it enhances good posture which is good for
showing confidence and healthy for the brain, since it is related to cerebellum, the part of the
brain responsible for movements.
But these fruits of labor are not tranquil to achieve, there’s truly no gain without pain and in
order to harvest the advantageous holistic effects of playing Volleyball, a person must maintain
discipline to properly spike for fitness.

Nakakabighani ang mga magandang epekto ng paglalaro ng volleyball dahil hindi lang ito
pagkakaroon ng libangan at pagsasaya at bukod sa paghuhulma ng talento, pinagyayaman nito
ang kalusugan ng isang atleta.
Naglunsad ng isang paligsahan sa larangan ng volleyball ang City of Malolos Integrated School
(CMIS)-Sto.Rosario sa pagkakaugnay sa kanilang School Intramurals kung saan nilahukan ito ng
apat na koponan, Pula, Asul, Puti at Dilaw noong nakaraang ikaw-17 ng Setyembre sa kanilang
sariling gymnasium.
Ipinakita ng mga manlalaro ng nasabing kumpetisyon ang kanilang mga talento at lakas sa
paglalaro ng volleyball sa pamamagitan ng pagbibitaw ng mga ispayk na halatang nagmula sa
pageensayo ng matagal para mapalakas ang kanilang katawan.
Kasama sa pagpapalakas ng katawan ang pagpapabuti din ng koordinasyon ng mata at mga
“limbs” kung ikaw ay isang atleta, kaya’t sadyaang itinatag ng eskwelehan ang kaganapan na
iyon para makakuha ng iba’t –ibang benepisyo sa kalusugan ang kanilang mga estudyante tulad
ng pagkakaroon ng maayos na pustura na maganda para sa utak na responsable sa ating
paggalaw.
Ngunit ang lahat ng ito ay hindi medaling makamit, tunay na hindi ka lalakas at magiging
mahusay kung hindi ka dadanas ng matitinding pag-eensayo, kaya’t halika na at maglaro din ng
volleyball at mag ispayk na daan sa ibat-ibang benepisyo.

Terminus Finisher
Roque accelerates to destination, snaring the gold

Jenifer Roque fast-tracked in the 1500 meters track and field event exactly with one minute,
leaving all her opponents behind to acquire to the gold medal in their School Intramurals last
September 17 held at Legacy Memorial Park, Sto. Rosario, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
Roque jolted with a burst of haste in the initial part of the match, vanishing from her opponents
but Jose Normelito Salamat chased her down to create a showdown of whose the better
runner.
Competitor Salamat almost surpassed Roque yet inadequate to beat her with one minute and
ten seconds, garnering the silver medal. The crowned victor who played at last year’s Central
Luzon Regional Athletics Association (CLRAA) Meet arrived at the destination with only one
minute beating all her fellow runners.
Another contender joined the fight between the two, Cee Jay Salamat sprinted to reach them
finishing the line for the bronze medal only with one minute and seventeen seconds.
“Magtiwala sa Diyos at isipin ang napagdaanan ng hirap sa mga training,” said Roque, as she
mentioned the vigorous training she will experience again for the preparation in the upcoming
District Meet along with the silver and bronze medalist.
According to Jose Normelito Salamat, trust God and have confidence with yourself that you can
finish the race as she congratulated Roque for defeating him in the tough bout.

Nagreyna si Jenifer Roque matapos lakbayin ang 1500 meters na “track and field” sa loob lamang
ng isang minuto, na bumuo ng malaking agwat laban sa ibang mga katunggali ng paligsahan ng
City of Malolos Integrated School (CMIS)-Sto.Rosario Intramurals 2018 noong ika-17 ng
Setyembre na ginanap sa Legacy Memorial Park, Sto. Rosario, City of Malolos, Bulacan.

Sinimulan nang ubod ng tulin ni Roque ang kumpetisyon na para bang siya’y nawala sa paningin
ng kanyang mga kalaban ngunit hindi nagpatunggali ang isang kalaban, hinamon siya at sinundan
ni Jose Normelito Salamat upang magkaalaman kung sinong mas mabilis.

Muntikan ng malagpasan ni Salamat si Roque subalit hindi naman nagpatinag ng ganun-ganun


lang ang dating kalahok ng Central Luzon Regional Athletics Association (CLRAA) Meet kaya’t
nauna pa rin ito sa linya sa loob ng isang minuto, lamang lang ng sampung segundo kay Salamat
na nakamit ang pilak na medalya.

Itinanghal naman sa ikatlong ranggo si Cee Jay Salamat na nakakuha ng tansong medalya
matapos takbuhin ang paligsahan sa loob ng isang minuto at labimpitong segundo.

“Magtiwala sa Diyos at isipin ang napagdaanan ng hirap sa mga training,” banggit ni Roque,
kasabay ng pagpapaliwanag kung gaano kahirap at gaano katindi ang kanyang dinanas na training
para lang makamit ulit ang pangarap na titulo sa paglaban sa District Meet katulad nung
nakaraang taon.

Lalahok kasama ni Roque ang nanalo sa pilak at tansong medalya sa District Meet na
paglalabanan ng iba’t-iba pang mananakbo mula sa iba’t-ibang paaralan dito sa Malolos.

Iniisip ng nakararami na napakadaling tumakbo pero hindi alam ng lahat na ang pagtakbo ay
maraming dulot na benepisyo at maari mo pang paghusayin bilang talento sa larangan ng Track
and Field.

Ayon kay Coach Cj Behnke na nagmula sa Rawhilde’s Starr Academy, isang sikat na pamantasan
sa larangan ng Track and Field, “track is therapeutic for someone owing to it keeps them moving,

Running is not only an essential aspect in life, it can be a talent that may be honed and refined
with training for someone to acquire the standards in entering the realm of sports specifically
Track and Field.

Track and Field is a sport established on the skills of running, jumping and throwing, originated
its name from its typical venue which is a stadium including an oval running track enclosed by a
grass field where the throwing and jumping take place. It was also included in the events that
brought essence to the very first Olympics in Ancient Greece.

Jenifer Roque represented City of Malolos Integrated School-Sto. Rosario last year in the Central
Luzon Regional Athletics Association Meet in the said sport as she mentioned, “noong bata pa
ako ay nakitaan na ako ng aking nanay ng bilis sa pagtakbo, kaya’t pinag-try out nya ako sa track
and field.”

This foot racing event involves sprints, a 100m, 200m or 400m run, middle distance running, a
800m and 1500m course, and long distance running, a 5000m and 10000m route are triumphed
by the athlete attaining the fastest time; while jumping and throwing events are prevailed by the
player achieving the greatest distance or height.

Combined events or multi-events such as pentathlon with five events, heptathlon consisted of
seven events, decathlon entailed with ten events are also launched under Track and Field,
participated usually by an individual where a single victor is recognized.

Through gearing up your talent in running, you’ll never know what you may reach, with only a

nakaraang tao’y lumahok sa Central Luzon Regional Athletics Association Meet na, “noong bata
pa ako ay nakitaan na ako ng aking nanay ng bilis sa pagtakbo, kaya’t pinag-try out nya ako sa
track and field ngunit natutunan ko na hindi ito sapat para maging mahusay.”

Buong pusong pagtakbo, pagpapalakas at matinding pag-eensayo ang nararapat gawin dahil sa
saglit na oras at panahon, hindi mo alam kung hanggang saan ang pwede mong marating at
maaring maging isa ka sa mga pinakamabibilis na mananakbong Pinoy.
