Frequently Asked Questions on BPI Bank Accounts

1. Q: What will happen to my BPI Payroll account after 6 months of no activity


triggered by Accenture?
A: If the payroll account will have no company credit (payroll) for the last 6 months,
the account will automatically be converted to a regular savings account. For
regular savings account, there will be a monthly maintaining balance required.

2. Q: How much is the maintaining balance for current and savings account?
A: 10,000 pesos for checking account and 3,000 pesos for savings account

3. Q: What is the impact if the payroll account is converted to a regular savings


account?
A: If the account is converted to a regular savings account, a monthly service
charge of 300 pesos will be deducted to the account if the balance falls below the
required maintaining balance until it reaches zero balance. Then the account will
be closed.

4. Q: I have resigned from Accenture and will now leave the country, how will I receive
my separation pay?
A: You will have to maintain your BPI account in order to receive your final pay.
That said, you will have to activate your account for international use as well in
order to withdraw abroad via ATM machines with Cirrus logo.

5. Q: How do I activate my account for international use? How long will it take to
activate?
A: Visit your branch of account and request for international access. Bring 2 valid
ID’s to be presented to branch personnel. If you have your account activated
before 1PM, activation will be done on the same day. Activation requests done
after 1PM are implemented on the next banking day.

6. Q: What is a dormant bank account?


A: A dormant bank account is an account with no activity for a long period of time.
An account is considered dormant if there is no transaction within 1 year for
Current Accounts and within 2 years for Savings Accounts. This will be a
deactivated account.

7. Q: How can I reactivate a dormant account?


A: Account holder needs to go to the branch to perform a bank transaction (e.g.
deposit) to reactive the account.

8. Q: What can I do if I lost my ATM card?


A: Account holder can go to any BPI branch and request for card replacement.
Card replacement comes with a fee of 100 pesos per card. Account holder may
also call BPI Expressphone at 89-100.

A: Account holder can go to any BPI branch and request for card replacement.

10. Q: How much will transferring money from Philippines to abroad cost me?
A: Crediting to account is free. However, transactions done abroad are subject to
charges by other bank’s facilities abroad.

A: Rates vary and will depend on the current rates on the day of transaction.

A: For local call, you may contact 89-100 but for international calls you may contact
