JRC Online Sports Apparel Shop

I. Overview of the project

Advanced technologies have entered nowadays and made some

things go easy where you can shop through online websites. JRC Sports
Apparel is an e-commerce website that sells sports apparel such as jerseys,
shoes, socks, and sports equipment such as balls, helmets, gloves, body
armor, rockets and other sports equipment. The Sport apparel is focusing
on seller’s side and we are planning to use a calendar API for the schedules
of the date and time of the delivery of the products.

III. Description of each tools being used

XAMMP - stands for Cross-Platform (X), Apache (A), MariaDB (M), PHP (P)
and Perl (P). It is a simple, lightweight Apache distribution that makes it
extremely easy for developers to create a local web server for testing and
deployment purposes.

Codeigniter - is an open-source software rapid development web

framework, for use in building dynamic web sites with PHP.

Harviacode – to generate the code from data base to the code igniter for
the read, update and delete actions of the product.

Sublime text - is a proprietary cross-platform source code editor with a

Python application programming interface (API). It natively supports many
programming languages and markup languages, and functions can be
added by users with plugins, typically community-built and maintained
under free-software licenses.

Karma Template – this template is used for the home page of the e-
commerce website.

LUNA v1.3.1 - this template is used for the seller’s account. This template
is composed of dashboard that has add product, item list, on sale products,
add sale, update sale and delete sale function.
IV. Discussion on the API being used (what API being used, and how it was used
in this project, also include sample code snippet for demonstration purposes)

We are planning to use the Calendar API for the JRC Sport Apparel
Online Shop. The use of this API is to update and monitor the date and time
of the delivery of the items that has reserved or ordered and the address is
already pinned in the Calendar API.

The Calendar Data API lets users perform most of the operations a
normal Google Calendar user can on the Google Calendar website. Google
Calendar allows client applications to view and update calendar events in
the form of Google data API, GData, feeds. The Calendar Data API lets
users incorporate Calendar functionality into their own application or
website. Users can edit calendars, create and delete events, query for
events that match particular criteria, send invitations, and more. There are
many possible uses for the Calendar data API. For example, users can
create a web front end for a group calendar that uses Google Calendar as
a back end. Or a public calendar can be generated for Google Calendar to
display, based on a company event database. Or users can search relevant
calendars to display a list of upcoming events on those calendars.
