PART II
1. What do you see the most significant challenges facing your
school?
What are the types of problems that seem to keep coming frequently
with your learners?
-I can see that there is a challenge in facing difficult parents.
-Parents can be the best resource to improve student behavior and
learning. But just like students, all parents are unique. Figuring how
to get the most out of parents can be a trial and error process.
Teaching has put together our most popular resources for working
with parents. Knowing what parents are thinking and expecting can
help teachers be prepared and successful. Some are more involve
and some are not that involved with the learners’ learning progress.

2. Your usual ways in handling the problem?

-Identify the problem
Be clear and specific about what the problem is – for example, what’s
happening, how often, who’s involved and who’s affected.
-Identify wants, needs and concerns
Allow everyone to identify their needs, wants and concerns.
-Come up with possible solutions
Work with parents to come up with as many possible solutions to the problem
as you can.
-Evaluate the solutions
Once you and co-teacher have listed as many ideas as possible, think about
the advantages, disadvantages and consequences of each solution.
-Assess how it went
Consider everyone’s opinions and acknowledge everyone’s efforts when you
look at how well the solution has worked.

3. What has challenge you most as SGCD or most challenge portion?

-The most challenging part of being a newly appointed SGCD is the
pressure in making reports and paperworks with deadlines. I am still
learning of everything.

4. How will you contribute to address the needs of your

parents/community, leraners, co-teachers and school head?
- I may find it challenging but I always have this desire to contribute
the needs, I want to be part of the solution. This is where I live and I
want to give back to my community. It’s hard and it’s always
challenging. I love the
kids. That’s what keeps me going.

5. What suggestions would you have for SGCD for future training
regarding your role expections and contribution to the school
program?
- As a newly appointed SGCD/teacher, I am always open with trainings
and learnings about the different duties of an SGCD in order to be
effective.
