Chapter V

Summary, Conclusion and Recommendation

This chapter presents the summary of findings, conclusion made from the study

and recommendation given by the researcher.

Summary of Findings

After a comprehensive work, findings affirm that the scholastic performance of

Grade 9 and Grade 10 Star Students show a satisfactory academic outcome on their

Science, Mathematics, and English subjects.

The respondents were from Grade 9 and Grade 10 students of Star sections of

General Santos City National High School. Using random sampling, sixty (60)

respondents were selected using random sampling from the six Star sections of Grade

9 and Grade 10, 10 respondents each section. The data was collected from the 3rd

grading grades of the students.

In a tabular manner, the results were presented and analyzed. Using the K-12

grading criteria, the data showed a satisfactory outcome on Science, Mathematics, and

English subjects.

These results of the study mean that the students are doing well in their

academic performance despite organizing the activities outside the classroom.

Conclusions

After conducting, analysis of results and interpretations-making, the researchers

conducted the following:

1. STAR Students prefer to study Science among the three subjects.

2. STAR Students excel more in Science than in English and Mathematics.

3. STAR Students reached the cut-off grade in Science, Mathematics, and

English.

Recommendations

In the middle of brains-storming for the study- finalization, the researchers have

discovered topics related to the study that can be recommended to the readers for

further development. These are the following;

1. Apply the same technique used in the study to Special Program of the Arts.

2. Apply the same technique used in the study to Special Program of the Sports.

3. Apply the same technique used in the study to Science, Technology,

Engineering, and Mathematics Program.

4. Increase the number of respondents.

5. Use the same study to minor subjects such as MAPEH, Filipino, Economics,

and Values Education.

6. Apply the same technique used in the study to Grade 7 and Grade 8 STAR

Sections.
