With the advent of dSLR cameras progressively gaining popularity and ultimately dominating the
dental field during the last decade, cross-polarisation technology from the past has eluded the digital
generation of dental photographers, despite its significant value.
Reflective cross polarised light photography mitigates unwanted specular reflections which obscure the
fine details of dental structures, whilst providing a high contrast / hyper-saturated dental image to be
objectively analysed.
The dental polar cross filter attaches magnetically in front of your macro flash providing these
benefits, with simple ergonomics. This filter is primarily intended to be used with either a 60mm or
105mm lens on the Nikon Fx, Dx and the Canon FF, APS-C sensors. There is no need for flash
modification, which would void your warranty, since dental polar cross provides a self adhesive
magnetic solution.

IV. Apply firm finger pressure to get the magnets tacked down.
Initial Use:
Allow the flash magnets to tack cure for 24 hours, ensuring maximum stress free adhesion.
Always try to remove the polar_eyes filter in a SLIDING motion, avoiding a PULLING motion. Once
the filter is removed, occasionally from time to time apply additional direct finger pressure on the 4
magnets attached to the flash in order to maximise adhesion.
Since any further modification to the flash would most likely void your warranty, team polar_eyes does
not recommend any added retention in placing the magnets. Therefore, we provide extra magnet tabs
in case any of the magnets may eventually come loose.
