As a distinct entity, NNIT’s history dates back to 1994. But it didn’t start there. As part

NNIT hires employee no. 500 in China. 30 % of NNIT's employees now work outside

NNIT hires employee no. 2000, and launches the annual report that shows that 2012
was another successful year for the company with a turnover of DKK 2,028 million.

NNIT opens office in Princeton, USA.

NNIT moves to a new Danish headquarters where approximately 1,300 employees

20 % of NNIT's employees works on sourcing destinations.

NNIT acquires Corebuilt Technologies - a Philippine based Microsoft development
business with 50 employees. Corebuilt changes its name to NNIT Philippines Inc.
The company is situated in Manila.

March 2008
In 2007, NNIT generates a turnover of DKK 1,165 million, reflecting growth of 15%
and profits of DKK 159 million before tax.

December 2007
NNIT opens office in Aarhus, Denmark.

June 2007
NNIT reaches 1,000 employees.

In 2006, NNIT's turnover exceeds DKK 1 billion for the first time. Turnover for the
year rose by 14% to DKK 1,016 million.

NNIT's CEO of many years, Torben Skriver Frandsen, retires, handing over the reins
to Per Kogut.

September 2006
NNIT opens office in China to get access to more of the right skills. The office is
situated in Tianjin east of Beijing.

NNIT opens office in the Czech Republic in the city of Olomouc.

In 2005, NNIT generates a turnover of DKK 890 million, which translates into growth
of 11% and profits of DKK 105 million before tax.
June 2005
By June 2005, NNIT begins to follow Danish Standard’s security standard, DS484.
NNIT is the first Danish IT supplier certified to comply with the requirements of the
Danish public sector. With the DS484 certification, NNIT is automatically certified
according to the international Information Security Management Standard BS7799.

In 2004, NNIT has another year with growth in annual turnover. We realize sales of
DKK 801 million, representing 12% growth compared with sales in 2003. In 2004, the
annual net profit was DKK 92 million, which is DKK 17 million above the 2003 net
profit.

NNIT reaches 800 employees.

June 2004
NNIT is at the top of Danish financial newspaper Børsen’s list of the best-performing
Danish consultancies based on financial reporting data.
NNIT becomes CMMI-certified (Capability Maturity Model® Integration) at level two.
CMMI is the leading international model for evaluating an organization's level of
maturity.

With this certification, NNIT joins a small, exclusive group of software providers in
Denmark who live up to the highest standards of quality and reliability as a supplier.

January 2004
Novo Nordisk IT changes its name to NNIT. The change recognizes that growth in
the years to come must primarily be achieved via existing and new customers
outside Novo Nordisk.

August 2003
NNIT Academy opens its doors. The aim of its curriculum is to give all Novo Nordisk
IT employees a broad understanding of the complexities inherent to the
pharmaceutical industry today – and an understanding of what it takes to create and
improve Novo Nordisk IT’s success.

May 2003
The Zurich sales office opens, strengthening our ambition to become a leading IT
provider in the European market.
April 2003
Communication agency e|sense is purchased. Now we have even stronger skills in
web communication and branding.

February 2001 – March 2003


Novo Nordisk IT enters into alliances with Microsoft, SAP, Documentum, Oracle,
Siebel and others.

April 2000
Novo Nordisk IT is certified at level two of the People Capability Maturity Model®
(PCMM), as the first European company to achieve this certification. The PCMM
methodology ensures improvements in Novo Nordisk IT’s work processes and

Novo Nordisk IT A/S is incorporated as a limited liability company – owned by Novo

September 1997
Novo Nordisk IT becomes one of the first Danish IT companies to achieve ISO 9001-
certification.

June 1994
Novo Nordisk splits out its IT activities into an independent unit and profit center
called Novo Nordisk IT – the current NNIT. This results from the merger of the two IT
departments in Healthcare and Enzyme, and Novo Nordisk Data Service Division,
respectively.

NNIT has been ISO-certified since 1997. Our quality and security management
system is certified and complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 andISO/IEC
27001:2013. These certifications apply to the areas of consulting, development,
technical management and service for IT systems, and covers our addresses in
Søborg, Denmark and Tianjin, China.

Improved work processes

We certify our employees competences continually to best practices e.g. ITIL (IT
Infrastructure Library) Foundation, Practitioner and Manager certifications and
various development and security certifications. ITIL is a set of best-practice
processes for optimizing operation and support in all aspects of IT service. These
processes are used internally as well as for external operation and support. With
ITIL, we ensure uniform workflows and improved communication – which enables us
to solve our own problems, and those of our customers, even faster.

Corporate Responsibility Policy.

In addition to a general approach to proper and diligent business conduct, NNIT
adheres to universal principles such as those defined by the UN Global Compact.

Boosting interest in technology among kids and students


NNIT’s CSR initiatives are centered around education and growing the interest in IT
and technology among children and young people. As a responsible company, we
recognize the need for additional focus on technology in primary school and beyond

Engineer the future


Engineer the future is a technological alliance in Denmark between more than 50

sciences as a career path. The methods are among others branding, storytelling and
public relations.

NNIT supports Engineer the future and actively participates in activities organized by
the alliance.
Coding Class
Coding Class is an initiative headed by the Danish IT Association and a number of
leading IT companies in Denmark. The purpose of Coding Class is to expose
children to IT and technology in a fun, yet educational way and thus allow them a
better understanding of the digital world surrounding us.

By placing IT training and education on the political agenda, Coding Class aims to
have IT included as a mandatory subject in early school years.

Corporate Governance Statement

Corporate Governance refers to the way a company is governed as well as the


interaction between a company’s managerial bodies, its shareholders and other
stakeholders. As a Company listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen, NNIT is subject to the
Danish Recommendations on Corporate Governance.

Compliance and reporting

NNIT annually reports on its compliance with the Danish Recommendations on


Corporate Governance.

Today, NNIT adheres to all but the following two recommendations:

1.3.1 the adoption of a takeover manual Given the current ownership structure of
NNIT, under which two shareholders jointly hold a controlling stake in the company,
the Board of Directors has not found it necessary or appropriate to adopt a takeover
response manual with formalized contingency procedures.

OJT Experience
OJT for me was a great experience that I would never forget because it serves
as my first step towards the real world as they all say. I was so glad and excited
when I first found out that on the job training is part of our curriculum. It is kind of like
our training ground about the work and our future career.

In almost 3 months of being an intern at NNIT Philippines Inc, I have gained


lots of knowledge and advices from our superiors. Firstly, I have learned to be keen
and adapt to the new environment by being cautious and observant of how the way
things work in the place and by understanding the company’s culture. At first, I made
a few mistakes, like for example, calling our superiors “Ma’am” because I did not
know that they did not practice such and they all just call each other by their first
names regardless of their position. It was awkward for me to call someone I know
that holds a high position, by their first name because I felt like I was being not
respectful but after a few days I tried to blend in and got used to calling everyone in
their first names.

Secondly, I have learned to listen and communicate with the people around
me. I have realized that listening to instruction is important especially when you’re
dealing with important files that is really needed by the company. Also, I have learned
to be able to approach people and communicate with them. At first, I was nervous
around people and communicating verbally was really my waterloo. I was really
having a hard time asking people for help and approaching them, so I was happy
when I felt that sense of achievement inside me because I started to be a little
confident about myself whenever I talk to people. It was a great accomplishment for
me.

The third thing I have learned is the importance of time management.


Although the company uses flex time, I have learned that it is still important to
manage your time wisely especially when there are deadlines coming, it would not
hurt to sacrifice a bit of time on lunch break and render more than 8 hours in the
company whenever the team is chasing the deadline. I have also learned the
importance of knowing and choosing our priorities not only in work but in everything
that we do in our day to day life.
The fourth thing that I have learned is the importance of workplace attitude.
Our finance manager always gives us advice about attitude in the workplace and how
it can affect everyone around you. I always remember her saying that we must love
our job and if we don’t love our job, find a reason why you even applied for it in the
first place and make that your motivation to be able so that you may establish your
goal for yourself and everyone around you. Because if we don’t love our job or that
we are not sincere about our work, it would be reflected in our outputs and it’s not
just your reputation as an employee your bringing down but also, your team will be
affected by the way you work which means you are also bringing the team down as
well. I have totally agreed with her and saw the effects of having a not so good
attitude in the workplace and it was not good at all. I think that it is best that we
should really be able to identify what kind of job we would not grow tired of loving to
be able to bring out the best in us. Attitude is more important than skills and
knowledge because skills and knowledge could be learned and achieved by practice,
but attitude depends upon the person whether he/she will be sincere in his/her work.

Lastly, I have learned that not everything revolves around work all the time.
It is important to take a rest, relax and have fun sometimes. It was fun being an intern
at NNIT because I felt like I experience the right amount or workloads and the right
amount of fun all together. I always love being able to sit in the same table with the
Finance Team sharing food and stories that are not work related is the best bond we
had for me. I felt so honoured to be part of NNIT Philippines Inc, temporarily because
I had fun and enjoyed working and learning at the same time. I am also thankful to
my superiors in the Finance Team because they welcomed me with warm smiles and
took great care of me while I was with them. I would never forget my OJT experience
and NNIT Philippines Inc. It’s absolutely one of the best things I had experience in
my college life.
