Classwork innovations and companies

1. - Which innovation is Nike involved on create?

The concern for environmental issues is increasing on the part of multinational

companies, however, it seems that Nike is taking this issue very seriously, the
sportswear giant reveals that currently 75% of its shoes and clothing It contains
recycled materials, some of which come from its own production leftovers. Other
advances in this regard is the brand's commitment to ensure that in the next four years
100% of the cotton used is certified organic or recycled and that its suppliers are also
certified as sustainable. A clear example is that Nike did not limit itself to just designing
a shoe with compressed air but adding more sustainable materials that make this line
of tennis, a lighter, stronger and more sustainable. The company shared that this
product, which is positioned as an example of corporate sustainability, has five points
to highlight:

one-. Resources: The coloration process for Air soles allows 99% of the water with
colorant to be recycled.

two-. Innovation: All innovations of the Air sole designed since 2008 are composed of
at least 50% recycled production waste.

3-. The impact: At present, the Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation facilities divert more
than 95% of the garbage manufacturing waste, that is, 23 tons of materials (the
equivalent of almost 10 Olympic swimming pools) only from May 2016 to 2017 .
4-. Resource management: The new Nike Air Max 270 air capsule features one of the
largest, highest and most visible cushioning systems to date, made with 70% recycled
production waste.

5-. Less impact: The Vapor Max Air sole contains more than 75% recycled material,
which eliminates the need for a foam sole.

In 2019, Nike launched a new strategy called “Consumer Direct Offense,” which
takes a page from direct to consumer startups by speeding up the pace of product
innovation and speed-to-market, plus increasing direct engagement with
consumers. Nike’s plan involves bringing more manufacturing to the United States,
where it will take less time to get to the customer.

2. Bitcoin vs Ethereum

The recent stratospheric increase in the value of certain cryptocurrencies has brought
with it a global awareness of the existence of Bitcoin and the ethereum. These two are
the most valuable cryptocurrencies. In February 2018, the total value of Ethereum in
use was 88,000 million dollars, while that of bitcoin was higher, of 143,000 million
dollars.

Bitcoins is limited to a total of 21 million coins. To date there are 16.7 million mined
people. Ethereum does not have a currency limit, so far, there are 96.4 million ethers
circulating. However, there are plans to limit the issue after a couple of years.

This may mean that Bitcoin remains at the same value as Unilever, while Ethereum
remains at the same value as Starbucks and Walgreens Boots Alliance. Today, the
investors in the cryptocurrencies listed above are highly speculative. This forces
cryptocurrencies to be highly volatile with prices and value proving difficult to estimate
accurately.

Ethereum plans to move from the mining process by changing the Work Test algorithm
to Approval Test. The point of sale invents blocks based on the chip stocks of the
network nodes instead of the computational power previously used. Ethereum also
plans to address scalability using a fragmentation process. Sharding divides the block
chains into several interconnected substrings. Bitcoins has not made any related
future plans.
3. Three products that can be innovated

1. Videogame Streaming platform

Google promises that with Stadia we will forget about the downloads, about the
patches, about having to install, everything will be "immediately" even from a
YouTube trailer. Google says that once you press the "Play" button we will be in
the game in five seconds.

As mentioned, Stadia does not require a console, but they do launch a special
command, which has a button to capture images and content of the games to share
directly. We also have a button for Google Assistant, which will serve to activate
various functions of the service from the same command.

2. Sensio Air

This strange bronze colored capsule is called Sensio Air and is an allergen tracker
that works with an app and sensors placed in several cities to detect what it is that
causes your allergies to appear and predict when you should be alert.

3. Track + Wireless In-Ear headphones

The new Track + Wireless In-Ear headphones, specially designed for athletes,
have four cancellation levels that control the amount of external sound that comes
in: from a lot, if you go out running and want to have some ambient noise, nothing
, if you are doing yoga outdoors. Resistant to water and sweat, Track + will sell for
169 euros.
