Topic/Skill : Talking about programs on television / speaking & reading

Time Allocation : 20 menit

A.Objectives

General objectives :

1. Students will be able to develope comunicative skills

2. Students will be able to respond of talking programs on television

Spesific objectives :

1. To improve student vocabulary through audio visual aid

2. Student will be able to come forward to present their dialogue

3. Students will be able to answer and discuss the question that given by the teacher

4. Students will be able to answer fill in the blank question that given by the teacher.

B. Lesson Materials

Television shows are a good way to understand how a language is used and to be able to
describe what you’ve seen is a great way to practice it!

When we are talking about TV programs with our friends we can use phrases such as…

“My favourite program of all is…”


“I love watching…”
“I adore watching…”
“I hate watching…”
“I can’t bear watching…”
“That program keeps me on the edge of my seat”
“I can’t bear to miss an episode of…”
“The special effects are…”
“I missed last night’s episode. Can you tell me what happened?”

We can ask our friends’ opinions

There are lots of adjectives we can use to describe TV programs and what we think about

1) Pre activity

Opening :

Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh..

Good morning/afternoon everybody, how are you today? (students’ response) before we are
start the class let me check your attendance first (students’ response) Well. Anyone knows
what we are going to learn today? . Why i ask to ( student ) like that before. Because today
we are going to learn interesting topic. This topic often happens in our daily life activity.
What is that ? This is about talking about programs on television.

2) Whilst activity

A) Teacher gives an expalanation and example about the material.

B) Students answer the question that given by the teacher.

C) Students listen to dialogue about talking programs on television by the teacher.

D) Students are instructed to pair up with their partner.

D.1) Students come forward and practice the dialogue with their partner.

D.2) Students answer and discuss the question with partner that given by the teacher.

F) Students answer fill in the blank question that given by the teacher.
