I. CASES IN BUSINESS POLICY ISSUES


As per approved syllabus, the course MGT 108 covers Cases in Business Policy Issues, Industry Trends
and International Strategy for the final period of the semester. Thus the students enrolled in this subject shall be
tasked to do the following as an application and analysis of the discussed module:

1. Have a recent case article of an organization approved by the undersigned prior to the final
examination.
2. Read, analyze and solve the case following the guidelines and format specified below.
3. Identify and enumerate alternative courses of action; and
4. Develop as sound strategy execution and implementation of each course.

Guidelines for Preparing the Case Analysis

Required Sections Guidelines

I. Executive  One to two paragraphs in length


Summary  On cover page of the report
 Briefly identify the major problems facing the manager/key person
 Summarize the recommended plan of action and include a brief justification of the
recommended plan.
II. Statement of the  State the problems facing the manager/key person
Problem  Identify and link the symptoms and root causes of the problems
 Differentiate short term from long term problems
 Conclude with the decision facing the manager/key person
III. Causes of the  Provide a detailed analysis of the problems identified in the Statement of the Problem

 Support conclusions and /or assumptions with specific references to the case and/or the
readings.
IV. Decision  Identify criteria against which you evaluate alternative solutions (i.e. time for
