Dear Sir or Madam:

I am very pleased to be able to write you this letter regarding Haley Hegenauer. I have had the pleasure of working
with Haley in my Chemistry class, as an athlete on the cross country and track teams, the school science club, as a
chemistry lab tech and through other school related activities. Haley is a very mature young woman of great
character who has been a true pleasure to teach and know.

Chemistry is a class that is difficult for many students to grasp because of the many advanced topics that it contains.
However, despite this fact, Haley is a student that excelled in chemistry. Her work ethic in the classroom and her
desire to learn are excellent. These characteristics led Haley to be chosen as the American Chemical Society
Outstanding High School Chemistry Student in 2018. Haley is not just successful in Chemistry. Her 3.91 GPA
shows that she is successful in every curricular area. It has truly been a joy to be able to work with Haley in class.

Haley also excels on the athletic fields as she runs cross country and track. Haley trains year around for these sports.
She is dedicated to being the best that she can be and is a great team leader. Haley can always be counted on to be on
time, work hard, and be positive. In both sports she is a very successful distance and mid distance runner that has
been a multiple time state qualifier. Her leadership and character are huge assets to every team she is a part of.

Through science club, class, and other activities I have been able to witness more of her character. Haley is a very
kind and giving person who is always willing to do whatever she can to help others. She is very responsible and
mature student who always gives her best and always displays great integrity. She always has a very positive and
energetic attitude in and out of the classroom.
