An Advance copy of Amendment Slip No. 32 to the above mentioned chapter is

reproduced below. This amendment should be brought into force with immediate effect,
by notification to all concerned.
This has the approval of the 'Authorized Officer'.
The Advance Amendment Slip No. 32, February 2014 to the G&SR- 2008 edition, is
given below:
Add the following SRs 3.31(1) to SR 3.31(4) below the GR 3.31 of Chapter III
at page 36

SR3.31 (1) The Loco Pilot of the train having scheduled halt at 'D' class station
shall stop his train as per schedule given in the Working Time Table.

SR 3.31 (2) An engine stop board shall be provided at a distance of 15 metres

ahead from the point / place on platform, where train is required to be
stopped for convenience of passengers to detrain and entrain. The size
of the board shall be 5 x 1 feet with the letters 'ENGINE STOP' painted
in black on yellow background on 2 metres high pole.

SR 3.31 (3) To indicate to the Loco Pilot of the train having scheduled halt at a 'D'
class station, an Indicator Board shall be provided on approaching end
in rear of the 'D' class station at a distance of 1000 metres from the
'ENGINE STOP' board. This indicator Board shall be in
accordance with the diagram shown and shall consist of square board
having each side of 600 mm. The board shall be painted white and it
shall bear the word 'HALT' in black colour on bottom portion and black
dot in the centre of the upper portion. This board shall be fixed on post
2 meters high (from the rail level to the bottom of the board) painted
300 mm. high bands of white and black.
