Grounding & Bonding

1.Grounding Solution –

Standard applicable- National Electrical Code, IS 3043, EN/IEC 62305, NFPA 70, IEEE,
National Electrical Code 1956

2.Bonding of Station Earth –

Standard applicable - IEC 62305, EN 62305, IEEE guide lines on Earthing, NFPA 70 (USA).

Note: All the station earth shall be directly integrated into the Main Equipotential Bonding
(MEB) except following shall be indirectly integrated into the MEB
a)Installation with cathodic corrosion protection and stray current protection measures
b)Earth termination systems of high-voltage current installations above 1 kV.
c)Railway earth for electric a.c and d.c railways
d)Measuring earth for laboratories, if they are separate from the protective conductors.
