1. Project Data
: This is the menu to input the title, designer, date and comment of the project.
2. Client Data
: This is the menu to input the information of the client.
If you input the new city date to DB, you click the button, “Add City”
3. Climatic Design Data
: This is the menu to input the indoor/outdoor design conditions
These values are filled automatically from DB by selecting the city which is at
“Client Data”

This menu is to input data for Wall, Roof and Glass etc. using for each zone, and
you input the values by selecting a values from the list
1. Floor Heat Loss Coefficient

2. Ground Reflectance
3. Ceiling Height

4. Wall Height

5. Operation Time
: This is the menu to input the building opening and closing hour

6. Duct Loss & Gain Cooling


7. Duct Loss & Gain Heating

Summation of “%” must be 100.


8. ASHRAE Wall Group Code

Select the proper wall type from the entry


9. U-Factor

If you enter the actual U-factor of your roof, wall or partition, click the button.

: If the color of roof is dark, select “Y”

: If the roof is suspended ceiling, select “Y”

If you input typical value for glass U-factor, select the item in the table

1. Zone Control
- Add Zone : add new zone
- Zone No. : select a zone made already
- Zone Name : display the current zone name

2. External Load
- Dimension
: This is the menu to enter the dimension of the zone.
3. Select Roof Type

- This is the menu to select the roof among the roof input at Master Data

4. Roof Length & Width


- Enter the dimension of the roof.

5. Select Walls & Partitions (Doors, Ceilings, Floors)

- This is the menu to select the walls and partitions

6. Walls & Partitions (Doors, Ceilings, Floors) Height & Width


- Enter the value of height and width of the walls and the partitions
7. Wall Direction

- This is menu to enter the direction of the wall faces or “P” for a partitions.

8. Select Glass Type

- This is the menu to select the glass type among the entry.
9. Glass Shading Device

Input the length of the shading device

10. Glass Quantity

- You can use these values or input a value you want directly.
- This menu is needed to determine the actual size of glass using for calculation.
11. Glass Reference

- Enter the wall number on which this glass section resides

12. Latent Appliances Heat

Input the value directly from the table.


13. Latent Floor Slab Perimeter
: Enter the length of the perimeter of the floor slab that is part of this zone.

14. Safety Factor


: These factors are used to increase the actual loads. Note that 10% is common.

15. People Data


: Enter the number and diversity of the people for this zone.

16. Sensible & Latent Heat per Person

- Select the value from the entry.

17. Power per Area

- Select the value in the entry or input values directly.


18. Operating Profile

: Determine occupancy schedules or operating schedules

19. Infiltration Load


: Input the value of infiltration according to the option selected
20. Ventilation Load

21. Additional Ventilation Device


: If you use additional ventilation device, select “YES” and input fresh air rate
which enter air-conditioner.

- To see these values, click the button, “Calculate”
- To see the graph for each load sources, click the button, “Graphic Data”,

- Current Zone Load : Printing current zone load selected at the Zone Load

3. Zone Load
- To see the zone load profile, select the zone name.
- Pressing the button, “Graphic Data” in the Zone Load, you can see the graph
of zone profile
<Model Selection>

- This is the menu to input the number of air conditioner to use.


- Maximum number of air conditioner is the number of zone.

1. Zone Grouping
- At “Select a group”, select a air conditioner
- Select a zone name at the left box, and click the button “>” to move into the
right box which will be used to determine the “Aircon-1”. Or to use all zone,
click the button, “>>”
- To remove a zone from right box, click the button, “<”. Or to remove all zone
in the right box, click the button “<<”
- For model selection, click “Determine” or to resume click “Cancel”
2. Determined Specification
- To select model, select electric range, type and grade and model name.
- Table below will be show the model specification.
- If you want to select model again, click “Resume”
- If you detailed model information for PDF file, click “Detail Information”
3. Simulation
- This is the menu to calculate the capacity for a given design condition.
<NOISE>
1. Path Input
: This is to enter the sound path and is composed of add, edit, delete button
If there is the octave band data in the model database, manufacturer’s data is
entered automatically
1.1 Add
If you press the add button the following window will be opened. You can enter the
manufacturer’s data for each path.

When the input is finished it will be added to the path window as follows.
1.2 Edit
After selecting the path you want to edit form the path list window, press the edit
button. The sane window as when add is executed will be opened so that the
manufacturer’s data of the path can be edited. The data of the selected path are
shown for each band.

1.3 Delete
This is the button to delete the selected path. Press the delete button after
selecting the path you want to delete and it will b deleted.
2. Attenuation Input
This is to enter the attenuation composing the selected path. It is composed of add,
edit, and delete button.

2.1 Add
If you select the path you want to enter and press the add button, the following
window will be opened. Select the attenuation of the 7 attenuations and then press
the OK button. A window applicable to the selected attenuation will be opened.

If you select the applicable attenuation symbol, the applicable input window will
be opened for each attenuation type.
2.2 Edit
If you select the path you want to edit and press the edit button, the input window
will be opened for each attenuation type. When selecting the attenuation the
applicable path must be selected.
2.3 Delete
Select the attenuation type you want to delete and press the delete button. This
will delete the applicable attenuation.

3. Calculate Noise
If you press the calculate noise button after selecting the NC value, the noise and
audio value for the calculated space will be displayed in a window. Here press the OK
button when it satisfies the NC value and press the not satisfied button when it doesn’t.

<Duct sizing>

1. Duct System Design


This window shows a brief procedure of duct system design and display the
information of the duct system at the table below.

2. Input Section Data


: “Total Air Supply Rate” is input automatically from the data of the selected model.
(1) Duct Diameter
: Input the section name and section flow rate, and click this button.
To calculate the rectangular duct sizes, input one side length and click “Cal”
(2) Section Pressure Loss
: To calculate the local pressure loss of the duct system element composed of
each section; click the “Duct Element”. If you click this button, you will see the
form, Fig3. And click the button of duct system element composed of the current
section, and calculate the local pressure loss. And click “Apply” button
- This is the menu to calculate the pressure loss of the straight duct.
- Input the duct diameter and select the duct roughness type.
- This is the menu to calculate the pressure loss of the round fittings
- Select the round fitting type and input the number of that.
- This is the menu to calculate the pressure loss resulted from the shape of entrance.

This is the menu to calculate the pressure loss of the free discharge

This is the menu to calculate the pressure loss of the transitions for changing pipe size.
This is the menu to calculate the pressure loss of the damper

This is the menu to calculate the pressure loss of the divergings.


This is the menu to calculate the pressure loss of the ventilation unit.

(3) Input Data


: Completing the input, click “Input Data” button.
Information of this section is showed at the table below.
3. Edit Section Data
: This is the menu to correct the data of section.
“<<” or ”>>” button can be used to select the section to correct,
Deleting the section to correct and reenter data can do correction.
4. Main Path
: This is the menu to search the main path that has the largest pressure loss.
Click the button “Input Path”, and input the section name, and check the section
element.
Completing, click the button “Save”.
Do this for each section, and “Main Path” frame shows the section name and
pressure loss that has the largest pressure loss.
To correct these data, selecting the section data by clicking the button “<<’ or
“>>“, and deleting the section and reenter the section data
