Week Nine – Editing

EDITING

How did you find the editing process?
The editing process went very well. I found a good way of
editing my interviews. When my parents were telling their story
I tried to find links between what they were saying and that
gave me an opportunity to edit between them and give the
audience as much information as possible. This will also make
the documentary more interesting and appealing because
the audience don’t have to look at one person the whole
time.

What skills did you have to As I said above I had to learn and adjust how I edit my

This is my edit. As you can see I have two lines of titles. The top
line is for the subtitles and the bottom line is for the black box
surrounding the subtitles. At the very beginning I just had the
two interviews side by side but then by speaking to a teacher I
found a way to edit the inters which I explained above.

What issues did you have to Some issues I encountered while editing were that my subtitles
overcome whilst editing? How did you were very inconsistent in size so I chose one size and changed
move past them? all of them so it looks more appealing and doesn’t throw off
the audience.
